Hmmm. I read first topic that RTR is working with 1.5 ..

But it's in RTR "Forum" - so that does it mean? Does it really mean that new version of RTR was released? Version which is compatibile with last patches? (no more this awul load/save bug)

is this beta version? what do I have to download? Any bugs reported??

Sorry. But I'm so excited that I just can't stop myself.

So if this version was released is this something different than 7.0??

RTR Platinum is a port of RTR Gold to work on RTW v1.5. It was done by "fans", although I'm not sure why any distinction is necessary since some of those "fans" used to be or still are on the RTR dev team.

hmmm...so file is downloading. I don't remember. Is there any real difference between BI and RTR 1.5?

I remember that generals were still from old version (I mean that BI generals got some new specifications?)

I'm trying to check what is the difference - but can you describe it in few words? What is the real difference between this version and 7.0 ?

It's a highly playable beta version. That's the last version as highly close to the original RTR 6.0 Gold. The next version might differes and becomes a new mod, maybe.

I have BI and I've already downloaded 1.6 for it. Since I want to get back into RTR, is there any version of the game which would be playable with 1.6 right now? Or do I have to delete or simply wait for 7.0 in RTR main?

Well RTR platinum is compatible with 1.5, which is what 1.6 patches RTW to.

Help! It wont install! I downloaded the RTR version for 1.5, called 1.4. Then I was going to install 1.5. However when I download 1.4 a message comes up saying:

This Application has failed to start because MSS32.DLL was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

I reinstalled it. Same thing. What is this MSS32 deal? Should I install 1.3, then 1.4, then 1.5? The readme thing says I only need 1.4, then 1.5. But should I try that? Help!

You have to install RTW 1.0 + RTW 1.3 + RTW 1.5 or RTW/BI patch to 1.6 before installing RTRPE 1.4 + 1.5 patch. Note the difference

RTRPE Full Beta 1.0 (1.4) is the full version while RTRPE 1.5 is a patch.

Oh sorry my bad for not saying this, I have Rome total war version 1.5 already. So I followed all steps, did I not?

The MSS32.DLL problem is not an RTR issue, it's to do with the game and/or your computer. We've had lots of people who, when trying to install vanilla RTW, have encountered the same problem. I don't know the solution, so you'll have to do a search for it (check the RTR.org forums, I know there are a few posts in the tech support forum with the same problem).
