Processor help?

I have a pretty simple question... I know next to nothing about processors, so...

Is an Intel Core Duo T2400 1.83 GHZ slower than a 2 Ghz P4?

Because I'm using the former and was using the latter and it feels like the former is much faster. So if a game needed a 2 GHZ P4 minimum could I run it?

usually the dual core is more suitable for multitasking but if the game supports dual core it might work fine.
do you still have both processors?
it would be interesting to run a benchmark with each of those proc in your machine.
anyways the videocard always can improve performance dtrastically. i mean if min requirements for a game are 2ghz and you have 1.8 ghz but a videocard that is better then the minimum requirement, then the game will run very well even if your proc speed is minimum or slightly under minimum req

I have a lot more RAM and a better graphics card than the game needs.

well than it will work for sure even if the proc you have is slower
