Withdrawal from battlefield
Hi guyz, I have a question on withdrawing.
I was attacking a greek city when a thousand reinforcement arrived... total of 1300. I withdrew, on the campaign map till I couldn't do so. Then I was thinking of withdrawing at the battlefield.
Why issit that I can't withdraw from the battlefield? The withdrawal button was not active

Re: Withdrawal from battlefield
Did you have enough movement points when you started the battle? If you're out of movement points, it's impossible to withdraw.

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

It sucks not being able to withdraw, so you will just have to stand and fight. Sometimes, I like to save whatever troops I can, so I just try to get my men to rout so they can 'withdraw' from the battle. Only seems to work well with generals though.

Re: Withdrawal from battlefield
If withdrawal isn't possible for me on the battlefield I usually stand and fight. Sometimes my troops do a lot of damage, or even get a heroic victory over an enemy superior in troop quality, numbers and command stars of the general.

Re: Withdrawal from battlefield
If you can't flee, make sure your troops are near the red line, so the enemy doesn't have loads of time to kill your routed units.
