The Total War Center has been a bastion of civilized speech and profound debate since its inception. For too long has the internet been awash with ignorance and bigotry. After discovering TWC, I've relished in all of the opportunities that it, and the fine people who run it, have granted me to participate in said discussions. Moderation has reached a perfect medium that I find delectable. It's not too harsh, and not too anarchic. In the words of Mohandas Gandhi, it's "just right!" So, to be a civitate in a website that I hold most dear, would be the highest honor that I could hope to realize. Attaining such a rank would increase my access into depths so prestigious that I could do little but gasp, and lie prostrate in devotion upon my first visit. I feel that I can add much to this already distinguished organization. In having Evariste as a civitate, you will be affixing another colorful pane to the beautiful window of stained glass that is Civitateship. Thank you for your consideration.

You may have seen this dude Evariste around, I find him very interesting. He creates posts that interrupt your normal train of thought and make you go "what in the hell...?", and suspend you in a moment of confusion before realising his purpose.

I have found this one very difficult... Very difficult indeed. On one hand, he has a good brain and a good sense of humour. On the basis that in order to become Civitates I need to be convinced - and I am not - I shall vote no.

Of course, I have no way to prove that there is actually is a decline in the quality of civitates. I can feel it though, as I'm sure that the rest of you do. In my experience, nostalgia is a lucid view into the past with no rose tinting. When people remember things, they do so clearly. Recalling the past is not subject to the warm, fuzzy memories that are inevitable when thinking of loved ones and relatives.

O TWC, what has become of you? I shall always think of you with deepest reverence in my heart. I'll remember the good old days, the fun, and most of all, the debate. My lament will be eternal.

I'm not sure if this is the voice of someone who still really wants to be a Civitate to be honest, it sounds as if he wants to take a break from TWC, not be elevated in status.. Its basicaly taking the opposite stance to the one he took when he wrote his paragraph for review.

Yes he posts in numerous parts of the forum, which are generaly very well thought out - but as Kagemusha points out there is quite a lot of sarcasm

Again, the burden falls on me to innovate and push the boundaries of TWC. This community has seen a disgusting number of threads that consist of nothing but inflammatory and nationalistic remarks about ones home country. I predicted this very thing weeks ago. Many of you laughed at me, or thought that I was joking. I hope that you see just how serious the situation has become.

It strengthens my wiew also.I vote no also.I know this first vote came up pretty fast,but i think that these ongoing ones should be voted out of the way so we can start using the planned timetable.Also what the others think?Should we have a one thread in here where we could talk about the General take of the CDC on the New Civ votes and to talk on which qualities we should concentrate?And also to get to know each other better.I think it would be good for us Patricians that doesnt have prior experience on these votes.
