He used to be good. Taps was great, and he was right on in Top Gun, but I think his thetans are messing with his acting skills or something, because Tom Cruise hasn't been a good actor in 10 years. He does "Angry man" well but that's about it.
PS I really liked Ben Stiller's impersonation of him on that Jeopardy skit from SNL.

I think he was quite good in War of the Worlds, and better in Last Samurai.

I second that, overal I think he's a pretty good actor. Even thought I don't like him as a person I can still admit that he deserves some respect for all the good work he has done (acting that is, not saving the real world Originally Posted by Honor&Glory

I liked him in The Firm, and I really loved his acting in A Few Good Men.

He was a little too over the top for me in Interview, although I did like him in all his other movies that were mentioned. So, from this thread I think that we can conclude that Tom Cruise is a good, but not great, actor?
