The political map and the factions are more realistic in terms of the timeline, as well as their culture (what the buildings look like/what types of buildings you can construct, as well as units)
    Changes:
Britions are now the Illyrians, thought I'm not sure there is, if any, real use for either one. *shrug*
The Julii are now the ONLY Roman faction on the campaign map.
The ENTIRE easter Mediterranean is now Hellenistic:
The Greek Cities are basically the Achaean League, I suppose you could say...
The Macedonians, of course (althought I don't know why THEIR historical name at the time isn't used)
    The Seleucids, duh.
The Ptolemaies seem to cause much of the confusion...the they were Greek rulers who, after Alexander's death, set themselves up as the new Phaoros of Egypt. Althought they lived in a somewhat reminiscent ancient style, they WERE Greeks.
And the Bactrians broke away from the Seleucids, as did the Parthians.
And the Scythians I believe actually didn't arrive until late in the Empire, so we get the Sarmatians instead.
If you want, here's the starting boundaries:
    Maximus Lazero
Why is it that at least one of the Romans are wusses?
