Your impressions of E3 2006

Personally I am a bit disappointed about the stuff we got to see on MTW2 or rather the lack thereof at E3 2006.

We did get to see the game in action for the first time which really impressed me but we did not get any official high quality movies like we saw for RTW. In interviews they ramble on about elephants with cannons etc but they don´t have the units ready for the show. We have also not seen any pictures or moview of battles on walls (that I know of) etc, etc. These are huge selling points for the game and I am sure they would have been able to present these if the game was going to be released this year. I am no psychologist but I am pretty sure the lead programmer is either lying or very unsure when he says the game will be out in November (look how he stutters and looks down into the floor at the end of this interview when he says it :wink: ):

I am beginning to see why the game was not officially announced before E3 on Segas presentation list and I think I wish that they delay the game as I think it would be very difficult for CA to release a quality game this year from the early alpha they are in now.

I hope for a better presentation of the game at E3 2007

I was a bit disappointed in their E3 performance as well but maybe it's because this year was all about the new consoles and people didn't pay much attention to PC games. Hopefully they will release the high quality trailers next week.

E3 2007? Come on. I pray for a november release, as long as it does not impair the quality.

I dont think they showed us enough of what we wanted to see and had been promised was done / nearly done. I seem to remember hearing about seeing the campaign map sometime soon, but they didnt show it in E3, which would have been good.

Yea, those two gameplay movies at gamespot were really weak, nothing groundbreaking from the interviews either.

I quote , they used sort of miniculverins on sides of the turret , there also exhisted camelmounted cannons .... Zamraks I think are named , not remember well.....
