    Default Awesome Idea

Unfortunately, I had to get rid of med 2 installation recently and I can't work on this (I do have experience personal mapping and making working campaign). However I have the most amazing idea for a mod. I came up with the idea of a civilization-esque total war game (unfortunately I couldnt make units or 2d). The setting would be following an apocalyptic event/nuclear war and at the game's start, you would have pre medieval-early medieval units, until a certain year in which gunpowder late medieval-renaissance-colonial units become available from settlements that are at least leve 3 castles. Then, another event would signal the beginning of modern units and level 5-6 castles would allow modern-futuristic units. I did have a factions list and map, but I'm just wondering if this could be made by someone (not me), do you think it'd be fun to play? (Just a suggestion to all you kick @S5 modders over here) What do you guys think?

Just a little word of advice:

Don't ask others to do full conversion mods for you. It will never happen. There are many, including myself, who'd be more than happy to help you learn, but nobody has the time to make a full conversion mod for you.

It would be interesting to play, yes. I've done personal projects with units from the Ancient Egyptians all the way to 18th-century style armies (none of which have a campaign map, but custom battles are just as fun).

If you need help, just ask. But don't expect anybody to do everything for you. I don't mean to sound harsh or discouraging, as I fully support new modders, but I'm just telling you the truth.

Also, I apologize for the misinterpretation.

you misread my post. (or I just typed crappy). What I meant was that I can mod a campaign, unfortunately my medieval 2 install got messed up. I'm not requesting a mod just asking what you guys think of the idea, in case I ever do get a new computer and Medieval 2 disk.

If I do get a computer soon, work on the new campaign and get a good map and faction backgrounds hopefully I'll be able to ask you and some of the other excellent unit modellers and2d artists to make an awesome mod
