    Default CTD Report

Alright, first of all here is the Save game: My save game

The year is 247. I am playing as Carthage. I am attacking a Lustonian Town called Baikor. I've beseiged the town, and it's crashed three times now. First was right after it loaded when I tried to assault the town, the other two times was after the victory, right after I clicked the "End battle" button when you win the battle. I always click the adviser button to toggle the scripts. No cities are about to rebel. I am playing on Medium/Medium (Newbie to this, so just trying to get my feet wet). I am playing version 1.2. I have downloaded all fixes for it, but am still unsure if I downloaded them correctly. Hope this can be resolved, because I was having a lot of fun

And admins, if you could please delete my previous post on the forum, because obviously I found out where my saved game is.

I can't help for the CTD when trying to assault the town, but for the ones after the battle, I have an idea. EB suffers from a vanilla memory leak issue which can lead to CTD's. I believe that after any large battle involving large numbers of soldiers or casualties (and perhaps other battles as well) you should wait 30 seconds or more on the battle results screen before clicking the end battle option.

Otherwise, all I can say is go back to an earlier save game (hopefully you have one) and work around the issue. With any luck somebody more knowledgeable than myself can give you some more helpful advice.

I wonder if perhaps by any chance you destroyed the faction by your victory in this battle?

When I was recently playing as Macedonia and defeated Epeiros after a siege battle (thus destroying that faction), my game kept crashing after clicking the "End Battle" button. After reloading and letting the computer resolve the battle result there were no problems (except that my losses were much higher).

Perhaps this is the same bug? Have other people seen something similar?

No, I didn't destroy the faction, just won the battle. I started another campaign, and the same thing is happening, but this time it's with Rome and on random battles. I will try to do as you suggest and wait a little while before ending the battle from the stats screen. Another thing that I just noticed is that when I load the game it says that it's Europa Barbarborum Version 1.1, not 1.2, even though I installed 1.2.

Maybe need to uninstall the whole thing and re-do it??

If still 1.1 is shown in the menu then you installed 1.2 into a wrong location (most probably eb\eb), follow How to install EB the next time.
1.2 is not savegame compatible so either you start a new campaign under 1.2+fixes or you continue your game but have an unstable build.

So is it safe to just reinstall 1.2 into the right directory?

I recommend to start from a clean RTW 1.5 version, if you applied the 1.2 fixes on top of a 1.2 version and now install 1.2 up that mess...just don't do it.
Follow the linked thread about installing EB and ask any questions that may appear here, I'll answer as soon as possible for me.
