    Default Im a goood president!

    George W. Bush....EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    George W. Bush
    The White House, USA

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
    LAW ENFORCEMENT:

I was arrested in Kennebunkport, Maine, in 1976 for driving under the influence of alcohol.

I pled guilty, paid a fine, and had my driver's license suspended for 30 days.

My Texas driving record has been "lost" and is not available.

    MILITARY:
I joined the Texas Air National Guard and went AWOL.

I refused to take a drug test or answer any questions about my drug use.

By joining the Texas Air National Guard, I was able to avoid combat duty in Vietnam.

    COLLEGE:
I graduated from Yale University with a low C average. I was a
    cheerleader.

    PAST WORK EXPERIENCE:
I ran for U.S. Congress and lost.

I began my career in the oil business in Midland, Texas, in 1975.

I bought an oil company, but couldn't find any oil in Texas. The company went bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

I bought the Texas Rangers baseball team in a sweetheart deal that took land using taxpayer money.

With the help of my father and our right-wing friends in the oil
industry (including Enron CEO Ken Lay), I was elected governor of Texas.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS GOVERNOR OF TEXAS:
I changed Texas pollution laws to favor power and oil companies, making Texas the most polluted state in the Union.

During my tenure, Houston replaced Los Angeles as the most smog-ridden city in America.

I cut taxes and bankrupted the Texas treasury to the tune of billions in borrowed money.

I set the record for the most executions by any governor in American history.

With the help of my brother, the governor of Florida, and my father's appointments to the Supreme Court, I became President after losing by over 500,000 votes.

    ACCOMPLISHMENTS AS PRESIDENT:
I am the first President in U.S. history to enter office with a criminal record.

I invaded and occupied two countries at a continuing cost of over one billion dollars per week.

I spent the U.S. surplus and effectively bankrupted the U.S. Treasury.

I shattered the record for the largest annual deficit in U.S. history.

I set an economic record for most private bankruptcies filed in any
12-month period. Set the all-time record for most foreclosures in a 12-month period.

I set the all-time record for the iggest drop in the history of the
    U.S. stock market.

In my first year in office, over 2 million Americans lost their jobs and that trend continues every month.

I'm proud that the members of my cabinet are the richest of any
    administration in U.S. history.

My "poorest millionaire," Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.

I set the record for most campaign fund-raising trips by a U.S.
    President.

I am the all-time U.S. and world record-holder for receiving the most corporate campaign donations.

My largest lifetime campaign contributor, and one of my best friends, Kenneth Lay, presided over the largest corporate bankruptcy fraud in U.S. History, Enron.

My political party used Enron private jets and corporate attorneys to assure my success with the U.S. Supreme Court during my election decision.

I have protected my friends at Enron and Halliburton against
    investigation or prosecution.

More time and money was spent investigating the Monica Lewinsky affair than has been spent investigating one of the biggest corporate rip-offs in history.

I presided over the biggest energy crisis in U.S. history and refused to intervene when corruption involving the oil industry was revealed.

I presided over the highest gasoline prices in U.S. history.

I changed the U.S. policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.

I appointed more convicted criminals to administration than any
    President in U.S. history.

I created the Ministry of Homeland Security, the largest bureaucracy in the history of the United States government.

I've broken more international treaties than any President in U.S. history.

I am the first President in U.S. history to have the United Nations
remove the U.S. from the Human Rights Commission.

I withdrew the U.S. from the World Court of Law.

I refused to allow inspectors access to U.S. "prisoners of war"
detainees and thereby have refused to abide by the Geneva Convention.

I am the first President in history to refuse United Nations election
inspectors (during the 2002 U.S. election).

I set the record for fewest number of press conferences of any
President since the advent of television.

I set the all-time record for most days on vacation in any one-year
    period.

After taking off the entire month of August, I presided over the worst security failure in U.S. history.

I garnered the most sympathy for the U.S. after the World Trade Center attacks and less than a year later made the U.S. the most hated country in the world, the largest failure of diplomacy in world history.

I have set the all-time record for most people worldwide to
simultaneously protest me in public venues (15 million people),
shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.

I am the first President in U.S. history to order an unprovoked,
pre-emptive attack and the military occupation of a sovereign nation. I did so against the will of the United Nations, the majority of U.S. citizens, and the world community.

I have cut health care benefits for war veterans and support a cut in duty benefits for active duty troops and their families -- in war time.

In my State of the Union Address, I lied about our reasons for
attacking Iraq, then blamed the lies on our British friends.

I am the first President in history to have a majority of Europeans
(71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and security.

I am supporting development of a nuclear "Tactical Bunker Buster," a WMD.

I have so far failed to fulfill my pledge to bring Osama Bin Laden to
    justice.

    RECORDS AND REFERENCES:
All records of my tenure as governor of Texas are now in my father's library, sealed and unavailable for public view.

All records of SEC investigations into my insider trading and my
bankrupt companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.

All records or minutes from meetings that I, or my Vice-President,
attended regarding public energy policy are sealed in secrecy and
    unavailable for public review.

    Propaganda.
I have little doubt that if I searched the web for a little while, it would turn out that a good number of those facts are urban legends.
And anything related to prices: you're forgetting about inflation.

i might be a conservative. but i know a walking failure when i see one, he fits the bill perfectly. this is what happens when you get a bunch of old, un-contemporary people to run a "modern" country like ours. what this country needs is a younger generation of leaders to rise. then maybe countries can stop acting like retards with potato guns screaming WAR and INSURGENCY everytime someone doesn't bend over to another's will.

Giving unbacked "facts" in order to discredit a politician and his party falls under the definition of propaganda very well.

As bad as he is, I really dont see how things can change drastically, which in my opinion they need to, without serious problems. there is so much debt, and the country is based around all things nonrenewable, so that as soon as those things run out, or get more expensive, problems will occur.
And the US is in so much debt that it will be very hard for the problems to be solved.

Again, many of you leftist seem to take everything the media says,(when they start some inane rumor or spread some gossip about Bush) as if it were the fricken gosspil! I may not be much of a poster on this site but I have been around for quite some time and am getting tired of everyone and their mother trying treat the president like the devil himself.

Now, granted, he isn't all that great...but you all seem to just love to overexaggerate every goof up he makes...and Last Roman....you think he is the worst President this country has ever had?....I honestly do not see how you could say that without any sort of proof that you can show that isn't either biased tword your own views and not just an opinion.

Honestly...the main point I am trying to make is that if you evaluate a whole persons life starting from say...when they were 10 years old...you will find that their life is FULL of contradictions and mistakes....I just don't think it is fair to highlight Bush's just because he is the President...not to mention make over half of those up.

Sorry in advance to everyone....guess I just had to vent a little....like I said...all I ever see is, "Bush is the devil!" , "Bush is a baby killer" and all that kind of stuff around here where I live,(California). I just don't want to see this forum drop to that sub-standard I suppose.

I don't trust the (most) media any more than I trust Bush. And I don't think Bush is evil (can't say that for Cheney), but rather just a horrible president.

I see...again I am sorry for the above post...it may have seemed...a bit overboard I suppose. I guess I am still a little biased myself from the 2004 elections...it is obviously fine if you think he is not a good President....or even a horrible one....thing is I just hate it when people like Seleukos spew that kind of trash from their mouths...not to mention actully believing it...

Dont you think that as the president of one of the worlds mst powerful countries he should make less of these "goof ups", or atleast "goof ups" of less magnitude ?

He is only human (or is he .. ) , so he will make mistakes, but he even admits himself that he messes up and is, less than intelligent really.

How about a formal debate? (I'm not sure if there is such a thread, but here goes anyway Who do you consider to be the worst president in US history? Off the top of my head, Hoover, Teddy Roosevelt (for the same reasons that made him one of our greatest presidents, but that's another topic), and Bush (W). (PS: Nixon is just a jerkface.) Who would you say is the worst president in history? I would think that one look at our economy and budget would be information enough, but who else would you elevate to that esteemed position?

Honestly...the main point I am trying to make is that if you evaluate a whole persons life starting from say...when they were 10 years old...you will find that their life is FULL of contradictions and mistakes....
    I completely agree with you.

I just don't think it is fair to highlight Bush's just because he is the President...not to mention make over half of those up.
That's where I disagree. We should definately highlight his life because he is President. Shouldn't we know who are presidents are, or should we just look at their pictures and see who has the best hair and the biggest flag behind them? (Sadly enough, there are thousands, if not millions of voters who do just that. How many presidents have been bald (without some sort of compensating facial hair)? One. Ike.) We should look at their voting policy, opinions, debates, everything we can. We should know everything there is to know about each candidate before we vote.

Sorry in advance to everyone....guess I just had to vent a little....like I said...all I ever see is, "Bush is the devil!" , "Bush is a baby killer" and all that kind of stuff around here where I live,(California). I just don't want to see this forum drop to that sub-standard I suppose.
I'm in California, too. But an extremely conservative area. But regardless, I would hope that freedom of speech would not classify any place as sub-standard. I don't see many people claiming that W eats babies around here. (Although that did happen at my school election....) But there are some undeniable and horrible things that Bush has done, with the economy and the international respect of our nation. So I would think that criticism would be just as appropriate as praise, and there are some things to praise about Bush. I just can't think of any off the top of my head.

Hmm..the worst eh? That is a tough one...there were many that did nothing...some that just are not the good at all. However, if I had to pick, it would have to be Carter. Because of him we are in the situation we are in now with all the illegal immigrants, not to mention almost, litteraly, killing our economy. But if not Carter then it would have to be Kennedy for starting Vietnam.

Well of course we should all try our best to understand the canidate's agenda and his policies, etc.. What I really meant by that is the ridiculous rumors that go around that some people actully believe. Of course, free speech and all that good stuff, but honestly it may as well be slander for some of the bs that people cook up.

    Really? Where do you live in California?(Just out of curiosity of course) Freedom of speech obviously does not make a place sub-standard. I think a better way to explain my self is to put this in a could/should kind of way. People on the left side of the political spectrum could say anything they want to. Then again, it does not mean that they should say them. I am, ofcourse, not talking about disagreeing, (is that how you spell it? ) with the President's actions but saying things that are obviously not true even to a blind and deaf person...eh....do you understand? I have never been the best at explaining my thoughts ^^;

Edit: Oh, by the way, I don't mean by the above comment that the left are the only ones who say outrageous things.
