Is it a prebuilt system or are you building it yourself?. In my ears it sounds like a prebuilt system with the most expensive parts except the usual thrown in videocard. What are you going to use the computer for?

Sounds like my friends Dell, except his has the X600 (which works good enough) and it has a 19 Inch screen. yes, is it prebuilt? It sounds like plenty of Dell's I have seen.

I wouldent expect alot of difference betwen the current one and the dell in terms of gaming performance. What you need is a good graphics card. A geforce 6800GT and above or a ATI equalent will give you like 140% more performance. But in the long run you could upgrade to a new motherboard and get a AMD processor and compatible RAM.

If that's the dual core Pentium - then go for it! I have heard that that CPU is the absolute best bang for your buck on the market...outperforms the best P4s and AMDs when overclocked. It will easily hit 4+ GHz

Yes, thats one of the top o the line Intel CPUs. The system is pretty strong, but I agree with Peter in that I would prefer another VC. Say,maybe a Sapphire X850XT,a BFG 6800GT or a BFG 7900GT! O.K. so I get a little carried away....
I believe Dell puts at least a 350W PSU in their systems but you should make sure, if your going to upgrade the VC, that the cards requirements don't exceed Dell's stock PSU...

P D820 is not the one that overclockers are having a blast with, you know.

Wasn't sure if it was. Thanks for clearing it up though! My knowledge on Pentiums is not that great (as you can see.)
