    Default Defending E. Osgiliath

I have my main army camped in east osgiliath at the moment, its under siege from two stacks of morder troops, usually not a problem. However when the battle starts (2000 Gondor Vs. 2500 Mordor and 2000 Morder) I find the reinforcing army spawning BEHIND me in west osgiliath. It's kind of impossible to fend off an army twice my size when im getting attacked from both sides. I lasted until the massive spam of 2000 orcs who were being held off by four units ran through my units and routed them all.

Is there a way to fix this?

And is there a way to upgrade the city walls of osgiliath later in the game?

    Gondor campaign is on hold

    Much Love

The army of some nazgul is attacking from directly the east, the reinforcing army is one space below them to the south east of e. osgiliath... they are spawning behind me on the battle map

I am guessing this could be a deployment bug which comes with the new Osgiliath settlement, try starting a campaign with Mordor and attack both of the Osgiliaths with two armies and see where your reinforcements deploy. If your reinforcements still deploy behind the city then try posting the problem in the bugs thread and see what feedback you recieve

Yes you have to upgrade West Osgiliath to a citadel and East Osgiliath to a huge city however, this will take hundreds of turns to grow enough population. Hope I have helped

Thanks, will do. I did notice the deployment bug for minas tirith in the custom games as well. I almost my pants when a full army spawned behind me, luckily they were stuck in the mountains at the back of the map

I believe the reinforcements is a bug seen on many of the custom settlements. They were designed for 1v1 battles and thus any other armies tend to spwan in, let us say, inconvenient places. There have also been several issues with enemy reinforcements starting inside the Minas Tirith walls which makes defending it quite interesting.

"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"

I thought this was just for custom battles ?
Luckily the AI hasn't attacked my settlements with more than one full stack at a time so I haven't experienced the bug yet.

Having in army spawn in Minas Tirith? That would be interested to watch for Mordor during a Hotseat

fugging annoying when you have to wait out battles because the reinforcing army doesnt have siege equipment
