Three very nice shots from Gamespot:

First picture of catapults? This just looks better and better, that desert castle/town looks so cool.

Yep, looking cool. Those knights do have shiny armours.

The one with the city in the distance looks amazing, I just hope it will look as good if not better once Ive got my new PC.

I dont really like the red knights, I dislike the patterns all over their horse, I dont know whether its very historical, I just dont think that it looks that good, and I would probably reskin them (ar wait for someone else to).

    Don't like it either.

Would like to see a shot from the campaign map soon.

I don't like the banners, and the desert-texture looks worse than in Rome-Total War. But this game is still under developement, and well, everything else - especialy the shining armour and the city - looks amazing.

They really should give us animations of how the units move. That'll show us much more about the way the game plays than static images. However those look quite nice.

So far the animations (gameplay- not pseudo gameplay cinematics) of units moving have been disappointing. Cavalry still stop/start and reverse as they approach fleeing units... it frankly doesn't seem like any improvement at all over RTW.

Fixing something that relatively easy speaks ill of fixing AI...

Maybe this will help ease your fears about the ai dearmad:

The French knights were seen then using the woods as cover to move up and try to hit the English from the side. The AI will know how to use the environment better, and this includes recognizing the new impassable terrain in the game. There are more than 250 unique units in the game, each with special abilities, such as the English longbow ability to place spikes down before a battle, protecting them from charges by mounted knights.

And dearmad, about the cavalry stop and go charge seen in the gameplay video of Gamespot, than have no fear since it was just the guy playing's fault. He kept regiving the order.

He was giving the same order which should be coded to know its the same order and not restart the attack which messes with the animations/fluid of the charge. This has no reason to be still here after a exp pack and now this. They have half a year to work it and hope they do and put some proof behind those ai improvement statements.

oberschutze: God I hope that was it.

Why do they let idiots/noobs demo the game... and people who have never played it write about the game!?

1st screenshot is great, I wonder if they will add an effect when if it's a dry area and you have a lot of men trampling around, it will create dust clouds, that would be wicked.

2nd shot is not so great cuz they are french, maybe replace them with the images of the corpses they are soon to be and it would be better.

Yes! Plumes on knights! Now if they could just give them to all the other factions knights I'll be a very happy camper!
