    Default I hate grass mowing

It is a sickness, a horrible affliction. Compounded by hatred of the upper classes of past times that all seem to profess! You see, it is the higher-ups of past who loved to clear their land of wild-growing things, and replace it with mass vistas of grass, which has to be mowed again and again! An excercise of power and futility which is most pathetic. Yet so called ordinary 'men', by their hundreds of millions, now chose to ape this madness - everywhere there are human creatures who clear as much land as they can and sow it with this grass stuff and purchase grass-cutting machines and proceed to chop this grass down to what they percieve as 'nice looking'. Every week or so all these 'men' get their machines out to cut the bloody grass.
I wonder, how many of these creatures would say they dislike the upper-classes of yor? The evil higher ups had servants to do their bidding - like cut that grass now. At least they (the servants) got paid. The ming-mongs now PAY THEIR OWN MONEY to do the same job, in total delusion - oh look, I have a lawn, how happy I must be.
It is not just the private individual of course. The STATE steals vast amounts of monies from people to DO THE SAME. Everywhere where I live I see the council mowing vast acres of grass. some large, some small. They seem to hate all wild growing things and proceed to chop it all down so they can have a vast organisation of grass-cutters. They produce leaflets that are stuffed through my letter box proclaiming how 'green' they are. These pamphlets proudly proclaim how green they are by destroying any wild land repacing it with grass (to be mowed foreaver)- by popular consent of course! In this, they seem to be right, for I percieve that the more that people watch telly telling them of the plight of other creatures the more they wish that they live in a sterile environment.
I have hardly started on how diabolical humans are in all this. A pair of male genitals containing reproducyive material to this post, for there are no men left and I am not one either for posting this pathetic rant on meaningless internet forum.

Although I blinked for a moment this is a political issue and it stays here. There are several questions in this post involving class attitude, government spending and political aesthetics. Please give it a careful read before dismissing it as a rant as the author did.
It is not and I applaud him for this post.

    I never had a lawn.
Could that be why I'm a communist?

Eh...I like mowing the lawn, I can't have cattle in town, so it takes a mower to keep the grass tidy. I do it with a push mower, better exercise and much cheaper. When I was a kid I even mowed some with a manual mower for pay (you know, no engine.)

If I decided to let it all go then I wouldn't have a place to play with the kids, grilling would suck, and the bugs would be going nuts trying to get into the house, along with a few snakes, rats, and mice. To each their own I guess.

If it helps I leave some areas along the fence only partially tended so that I can pick blackberries.
You can hide your light behind the hill,
Offer up your freedom and your will,
You can build your house on the shifting sand,
As for me I'll fight where I stand.
