    Hey...
    I was wondering if... If I could somehow remove the Pope's ability to summon Inquisitors out of thin air, and allow all players to create Inquisitors.
    Like this...

    agent inquisitor 0 requires factions { normans, denmark, scotland, hre, teutonic_order, france, england, }
    agent inquisitor 0 requires factions { hungary, hunrebels, poland, }
    agent inquisitor 0 requires factions { papal_states, portugal, spain, sicily, milan, venice, }
    agent_limit inquisitor 1
    pope_disapproval 1
    I thought about adding some sort of limit to them, like, they are only hireable if the population is over 5% heretical or something like that.
    However, would it even work in the first place?

    So, anyone to help me?
    I try to search for inquisitiors in this section, but the search function in the forum seems to be having problems.

    You can't recruit inquisitors or princess agent type from Export_descr_buildings.txt.

    And can I change that somehow?
    Or is it hardcoded?

    Nah that's hardcoded. You can only spawn such characters via campaign_script.txt using certain events\conditions.

    I suddenly thought about an another idea...
    How about an agent that is not labelled as an inquisitor, but acts as one?
    Like, it can do exactly the same stuff that inquisitors do...

    type priest

    actions moving_normal, denounce
    wage_base 100
    starting_action_points 80
    type inquisitor

    actions moving_normal, denounce
    wage_base 0
    starting_action_points 80
    Apparently the only difference between inquisitors and priests is that inquisitors are free

    Except the fact that unlike priests, inquisitors can't be recruited through EDB.

    How comes that Inquisitors can denounce Generals and Priests though?

    Does that mean that Papal Priests and Cardinals can denounce Generals, Priests and Cardinals too?

    I mean, Game Technically-wise... What kind of script allows Inquisitors to denounce Generals, Priests and Cardinals?
    And can I somehow create a unit that is not an inquisitor (not labelled as such), but acts like one? Like, it can denounce Generals, Priests and Cardinals.

    Their actions are predefined in the descr_cursor_actions.txt & there is not much moddiability in them, you can disable their actions but not add something, it's hardcoded.

    Damnit... so many stuff are hard-coded
    Does that mean I can not create a new agent?

    An Inquisitor, Denouncing a hostile Inquisitor... never thought I'd see that

    There is first the hardcoded limit of 12 agent types.
    1. Spy
    2. Assassin
    3. Witch
    4. Heretic
    5. Merchant
    6. Inquisitor
    7. Princess
    8. General
    9. Imam
    10. Diplomat
    11. Admiral
    12. Priest

    Then there abilities are also agent dependent and won't work on another type. As in you can't create a new agent type only do with what is already available.
