Instantly the Macedonian soldiers were blinded. Lime green suits, the ultimate attack on eyes. The Persians proceeded to slaughter all the Macedonains.

Why did CA make the Persians lime green? Isn't it hideous to anyone but me?

Nah dont worry mate its not you just another example of CAs too intense colours i mean ican see why they use faction colours but i will never understnad why they are so bright

I'd say that CA seems less worried about ATW as opposed to MTW2, which, of course, is a good thing. I mean, it's nice that they've made this expansion and all, but people are more concerned about MTW2, and it should be their biggest focus.

Well, guys, what other color should they have...
I mean, i think i've heard they are playable in multiplayer together with the OLD factions, so what other color should they have?
(BTW i like this lime green, used it for my mod as the color of Pergamon...)

I am pretty sure that they wont be playable with the OLD factions in multiplayer, just like BI wasnt. The persian should be made a very dark green IMO.

blues, yellows, browns and reds among others have all been found on the Achaemenid reliefs we still have. Personally the brown and yellow combination is my favourite. Red and blue also looks good

But the lime green is in fact a travesty

It appears there are only 4 total factions...so why would you expect more for MP?

Even though persians are known for having quite colorful soldiers, I think they did pick the wrong color for persians in this expansion. They should have used the same colours as Pontus had in RTW.

Because I think they just add them to the Vanilla MP.

I don't see why CA thinks it necessary to cover all the units in their faction's colors. In real life the persians would have come in all different colors. Like Rez said, they used tons of different colors in their army, not just one.

The same reason they made the Parthians hot pink and the Sassanids neon blue. Any faction in Iran will forever be tormented by rediculous colour schemes.

Not that faction colours are a good idea to begin with.

Makes me shudder what CA might do with the Safavids.(If Nepoleon really is next, there a chance they'll be in the game)

@Shapur- the immortals might have been, but the purple was too expencive even for the Great King to dress 100 000 men. lot of shellfish has to go for so much dye

I would've liked if the persians would be deep purple, but with colour only in few places... What? why is everyone looking at me like that? I like purple.

im not really a fan of the extremely bright colors, but i think i know why they do it. its just so that when youre looking at the battle from far above, you can easily distinguish which units are yours.
