Help finding a modding guide

Hey hey everyone, I tried doing afew searches but way way to many posts with the search terms. Anyone have or can point me in the direction of a guide to adding a new faction to the game.. bi that is. I don't really know the specs but just going straight ahead and making a new faction in Scillia, Crete, or one of the other islands in the Med. Sea. I also want to make new units that are unique to them, some with old skins and new specs, some totally new specs and skins. Any help would be awsome, thanks!

Editing a faction to become a completely different one is a pretty big task - you won't find a guide to take you through all of it, instead pick a single aspect you want to change, get it how you want it and then move on to the next.

You may have missed the TWC modding guides as they've once again been moved out of the Mod Workshop for reasons passing comprehension
