Max Recommended Units in Custom Battle?

Hello, I've had my recent laptop for quite some time, it's a Dell XPS 17. One thing I've noticed is that while I can play RTW on the highest settings, my unit limit for custom battles is 5000 men. I've looked at other threads here and have noticed that some people can play with 8000 and slight lag. What is it that my laptop can't do, or what am I failing to realize?

I've tried that and it doesn't seem to make a difference.

My copy of Rome TW has always allowed me to ignore the limit whenever I want which is around 3000, however it's not a good idea as my computer tries to kill itself whenever I do go over the limit.

Alright, thank you that fixed it. While it still gives me the warning I can still play with 8000+ with minimal lag.

When you're setting up the armies it gives a warning that your system may not be able to handle the numbers involved.

I've always ignored that when I've been setting up a custom battle. I do this when I'm going to be taking screens from the battle replay with the movie cam so I'm never that worried by any lagging.
