    Default Life: Total Drag

Does anyone else feel the same way? From 4-5 yrs old until (depending on personal goals) around 30 yrs old, people go to school. That is at least half of a good portion of people's lives!!! AND after that you hit the ground running in the rat race to try and get ahead! AND then you die!!! Where is all the fun?! What the heck is wrong with everyone (myself included)? Man, I 23 yrs. old and can already feel the rigamortus(spelling?) setting in. I CANNOT WAIT FOR SUMMER.....and.....Hegemonia!!!!!(sorry, had to kick one to those guys doin' a fine job with that mod)

Anyways, who else is going friggin CRAAAAZY out there? Just had to vent, thats all.

Yes I'm only 20 and I feel like my life is a drag. I get up every morning and do the same deadbeat job. Thats why I'm joining the AirForce Combat Controllers. I want something challenging and exciting, I want to prove to myself that I can do whatever I put my mind to.

This is where the fun is.

AND after that you hit the ground running in the rat race to try and get ahead!
Well it depends, but for most, this is where most of the happiness is (family).

    Where is all the fun?!
Don't wait for the fun to happen, it's your responsability to look for it.

I used to be more pessimistic and think life was a drag etc, but I decided to change attitude because I realized it's up to me to do something with my life, just *****ing about it wont help.

I'm not doing what I want to be doing right now and I probably never will because I'm a coward who always wants to have a reserve plan if I fail. I wish I could live by the motto: who dares wins.

meh lifes great for me, but life hurts to. i myself aiming for kids when im old, mayby 25-30.
You have a certain mentality, a "you vs them" and i know it is hard to see, but it is only your imagination which makes up enemies everywhere. I haven't professed anything but being neutral so why Do you feel the need to defend yourself from me?. Truly What are you defending? when there is nobody attacking?

Who will then hang on to you for the rest of your life? I'd rather not have kids.

I think this is called the mid-May syndrome and lasts for 12 years approximately. It is usually replaced by the mid-June syndrome in the University, and then the Sunday Night syndrome for the rest of your life. Still, it is only temporary.

I don't know about you guys, but if I were 20, I'd be hitting a party every night, I'd be taking a shot at the ladies every time the oportunity presents itself, and I'd do things like buying a motorcycle, getting tattoos and having fun as much as I can. Your life shouldn't be a drag if you're making sure you're having fun every day...

and where do you get the money for doing all this? work, and working means you will be busy most days of the week and tired when you get home. You might want to move out of your parents house so then also need to pay the rent all the other bills that go with it... so it seems your pipe dream isn't that simple afterall

I just turned 24 and i still wander around aimlessly.

See my theory is in England

    11-16 School
    16-18 Sixth Form/College
18-early twenties degree depending on course length

You finish Uni stuck with £15000 debt someitmes more and you have no clue what to do. Your life is basicaly an either or choice until your early twenties and then its just such an enormous job of working out what to do you cant be bothered so you dont do it which thna makes u depressed coz u have all the debts etcetc.

But on the plus side Hegemonia is hopefully not too far away so that will kill oh say 80 hrs a week hahaha
