I have to agree with that. I kind of was lazy with deciding (sorry to those whose stories I read and didn't vote for because of laziness)

The general rules of the ToS apply to submitted works too: artistic reasons behind swearing won't work. The software will censor most swearing (and always looks silly in a story), while the rest may trigger moderator action on censor bypass or obscene content.

I didn't dwell much on the users of the submissions honestly, just wanted to say I love the majority of the submissions.

Are words such as "Bastard", "Ass" and "Crap" allowed?

I mean, the reason I ask this is because both "Bastard" and "Ass" have different meanings, the former meaning illegitimate son and the latter a donkey, and I always figured that's why the censor bypass doesn't apply to them - But they can also be used as swear words.

My take is just to avoid triggering the profanity filter - a big pink smiley hardly adds a lot to your story in all honesty. Just be sensible about it I guess - the staff are all reasonable people

Suggestion noted. From time to time we might try to do different stuff to spice things up a little bit in different ways

If you guys do do that, and I think it's a fantastic idea, do it in addition to the week's submissions. And perhaps give it a whole new, different set of rules? Just a suggestion; But since it is supposed to be the "Winners vs. Winners", it should be more challenging... And thus maybe no inspirational picture or quotes but with about 10 mandatory words? And make it around two weeks in length for submissions?
