Music to get you in the Medieval mood...

Now I'm not talking lutes, bladder pipes or crumhorns here - even though I may be partial to the odd bit of Renaissance Folk every now and again.

I mean soundtrack stuff...what do we listen to that gets us into that "I'll break through six lines of infantry, tear down your walls and be drinking mead by sunset!" kind of mood?

I've recently purchased an album I've been searching for that is perfect for such occasions.

I like the "Hymn of War" from the Teutonic Campaign - it has that "charge at everything" feel

Otherwise, I´d say... Hel, maybe? They are technically playing "viking rock" (apparently that´s a real music genre), but some of their songs create a very fitting mood as well.

As for getting into that medieval mood... Power metal sometimes does that to me. Especially Sabaton.
