Campaign & battle lag, working great then.. bam

hello anyone who can her my pleas of help at this darkest of hours, the realm of man is in great danger! who will help me?

seriously, been playing the lastest version for 2 days now running great then on the third day i get a campaign map lag/stuttering which transfers over to the battle map. so i figured it may have been the save game tried to start a new faction, same thing.

have restarted the game and cpu over again and again, used to happen in 2.0 but a simple restart of the game or cpu reboot would fix

- tried different video settings - zilch
- nothing changed in background programs
- uninstall/re-install with 3.1 patch no relief
- troll the forums for a solution - the only mention was a rouge .ddl file which the authur did not specify which .ddl file or location
- current specs - patrched upto kingdoms version 1.5
- lastest video drivers
- cpu system can run Elder scrolls: Skyrim on ultra settings smoothly (quad core amd)

is there anything iv missed, your help would be appreciated, as the mod is now unplayable like this and like most of you i'v waited a long time for this.

same problem here..... Its just so annoying
I can run all tw on max settings... but in third age I get extreme lag on campaign map (only campaign lag, custom battles are ok) I tried different video settings but nothing changed.
I bought the game on steam, and I think the patch is 1.3..
any idea?
