It's a lot more stable now, try the Gigantus version.

Its more stable... but I am still not able to finish a campaign because at some point I always "find" a battle that crashes and is too important to loose ( my king and heir are in that army etc. ).
for example as Wissenburg Nuln got attacked by 2 or 3 orcish armies... I had enough troops for a victory... but was not able to finish the battle!
After repeating it 3 times ( winning it ) I went here and downloaded TATW 3.0=> problem solved...
So for me it is still unplayable

That's why Jesus gave us console commands. You were in the right to use the "auto_win attacker/defender" command. I find it pretty handy at times when I'm too lazy to fight though I know i'd win.

Third Age is by far the most complete mod, though it does bore me nowadays - I've spent too much time on it already.

And yes, CoW is as stable as Canada right now. Played whole day and not one crash happened.

After all, what other mod gives you the ability to pit winged hussars against orcs?
I'd love to have TATW factions in SS 6.4 :> though that's another topic.

Thanks for bringing me back to this tremendous piece of work guys. Kislev for the win

    What OS are you using?
Can you upload your log after CTD?

You mean other mod? TATW is a great mod and CoW still have some issues but there's no need to be rude about it. I have been playing (With Wissenburg, Wissenland or wisse-whatever-is-called and haven't any issue there. SO W7 64 bits on a pretty mediocre pc (4 gigs of RAM of 600 Mhz!!! and gforce 9800 gt of 512 mb), so I think is pretty stable.

Did not mean to be rude... but I agree that sounded not that good!
It really is a great mod otherwise I would not be angry about these crashes!

We have pretty much the same pc
I just use my onboard graphics... that causes crashes... sometimes... could be it!

@ OP you should try it out! some people have more proplmens then I have... some have none! Roll the dice as you have nothing to loose but everything to win!

Yup, enjoying the hell out of it. Last time I played this it crashed every ~5 turns. Now it sucks in like vacuum cleaner.
