Right, I've followed the instructions in the readme to the letter, I get the background music to work, but the background itself is missing. It's all in pitch black as if I had no background (speaking now of the moving smoke with the Argonath and Minas Tirith)

any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong?

I'm trying to implement this on my MOS 1.3 and I don't see why it should interfere....so....ideas?

p.s
I also noticed that when I'm in the faction selection scree the background is flickering randomly black and white from time to time.

You need to change your preferences file to display videos. I forgot which line it is.
Edit: Need to use this in your config file:

[video]
windowed = false ## used for modding
movies = true
no_background_fmv = 0

Again, I already said I followed the instructions to the letter, including changing that line. That's not the problem

check the medieval 2: total war vanila cfg file as well.

Yeah, did that as well to no avail. I was running it in borderless windowed mode and then in fullscreen too, didn't help either. Menu buttons, titles and all other text is visible, it's just the graphical background that is still missing. Are you Hereje sure that it's in the download file to begin with?

Or is it only incompatible with MOS?

p.s
My screen resolution is 1680x1050, could that have something to do with this issue?

So, delete all cfg files you have. I mean, save them for security, but try to run Medieval 2 TW or Kingdoms or mods without those files. If not, paste them again.
