    Just out of curiosity, does anyone know the dimensions of the battle map in an unmodded NTW? I'm thinking its something like 2 by 2 miles, but I'm not really sure.

    Someone a while back did some measurements, which I assume are mostly accurate. They found that in campaign battles, the battlefield is about 0.6 miles (about 1 km) square. However, historical battles can have a larger battle map, for example Waterloo has a 1.24 miles (about 2 km) square battlefield.     Great, thanks! Looks like I massively overestimated the size of the battlefield then.
