Which unit size is recommended?
Is the mod optimized for any specific size or is just a matter of prefence?
And if it's just a matter of prefence - what do you, experienced players of the mod, prefer?

You can choose whatever size you want. Most players choose "Huge" settings, since it makes the battles last longer and makes them more interesting. Feel free to choose what you like though![]()

I recommend large size.
Huge if your rig can handle it, if not settle for large.

Whatever you generally prefer. I'd recommend huge since it goes well with the slow and epic battles.
Plans within plans...
When I had a PC that could not be set to the highest level of detail I preferred to play with 'huge' unit size and downgrade the graphics (eye candy) until I achieved a decent frame rate.
It's down to what you prefer.

I chose to go with huge.
Tried one battle and... wow.
This is the first time in my long experience with the Total War Series that the word epic made any sense.
It was a wonderful experience - a fantastic modding job, amazing that you have managed to make the battles feel really epic.
But I had put everything on "high" and my rig couldn't really handle that.
Tried turning a few things down, but I could use a little advice.
Which settings would you recommend I turn down to get the best balance between frame rate and eye-candy?
Is anti-aliasing a big deal? (yes, I have turned it off in-game and used Catalyst Control center to turn it on).
I love the unit graphics - on high its just s good as M2TW, so I would hate to turn that down...
And de-syncronizing the animations is also really nice to have on...
When yu say vegetation you mean the "Vegetation Quality" setting in the Roma Surrectum startup menu, right?
