Re: lusted's mod funny way of diplomacy
In a related event, I once offered to buy every single one of Egypts cities (~225bc) and they wanted in return my entire treasury (which at the time was something like 200,000). So I did. And they did. Thats how I conquered the Nile. And thats a money machine.

Things are very seldom what they seem. In my experience, they’re usually a damn sight worse.

I hated it when I was kicking the enemies as then when they come up to you they want all their crap back along with your treasury and with that they say that they are superior and to give in. Hm, and you have what left, a town, a small army, and I have a huge army reaqdy to conquer you right there but yet you ask ME to bow down to YOU?! SOB's! I kill you now!
chicano, I dont know if Spartans are only recruitable in Sparta, though they should. Check and see if that is so.

Re: lusted's mod funny way of diplomacy
Spartans are recruitable in Sparta and Syracuse, as was the case in RTW. Don't ask me why they are recruitable in Syracuse they just are, but hey it gives you 2 cities tor ecruit them form instead of one.
