Ill post this here since there is probably new people who dont even knew that new feature is in 3.0

    Ok got it to work.

The general with the permission must be in the city wich contains the palantiri.

You guys should really try it... One of the coolest things I ever saw in TW game.

I especially love the evil effects if Sauron is in Control of the Ithil stone.

Certainly makes you stop and think just how much you are seeing is true....

You can activate your palantiri every 5 turns (first time at turn 5). Conditions to activate it is that your faction leader or whoever character has the "palantiri authorisation" ancillary is inside the settlement that houses the palantiri. To activate the palantiri, you select the settlement that houses it and press F3 (by selecting the settlement, if 5 turns have passed since its last usage, the palantiri symbol at the bottom left of the map will turn a little green).

Yep, it's awesome Only Denethor is losing his mind a bit... actually I'm losing my mind a little myself as well. I keep seeing huge Modor armies eveywere that aren't acually even there When I first saw that I was like: OMFG what??? There is no way we can win this, and how did those armies even get there??

But then I realized it was just Sauron trying to deceive me Awesome feature

Indeed. It is one of the most innovative features I have seen till the release of 3.0. Really brilliant piece of scripting.

I really do love the fake full stacks that appear in your lands. The first time, before I realized it, I was all like 'How did that happen'. Lol
    Nice work Withwnar.

Three reps in quick succession and all to the same unrelated post: I suspected that something was up and should have guessed that Ngugi might have something to do with it.

Thanks guys. But I can't take credit for some of the ideas. It was KK's idea to have Palantiri at all, and their associated concepts: fake armies, authorisation and adverse mind effects.

By the way, all of the information on how to use them is in the game. Hit F1 when you have a Palantir settlement selected to read the Help. This F1 hint is included in the Palantiri building scrolls.

The main thing it doesn't tell you is that first usage isn't until turn 5. I figured that was implied by the "only available every 5 turns" but in hindsight my figuring might have been out.

I might make a proper thread for this, as there is some other info that might be useful to players and submodders.

Oh and by the way, The Mirror of Galadriel is also in 3.0. A similar and related concept but only for the Silvans. Pretty much the same as the original but with a few extra goodies.

Heh, i remember seeing my first fake stack, which was heading towards an area i had next to no troops in. So I was rushing troops in from everywhere, trying to figure out how they got past all my allies settlements, and generally turtling down for a few turns. then a few more turns hunting for them to see where the hell they had gone off to,

Please rep me for my posts, not for the fact that i have a Pony as an Avatar.

A little sad I've seen spoilers ^^ Seen large stacks as HE using the palantir but never close to me, so just thought it been fair enough stacks anyway.
Will see if I can handle it now as I move eastward and meet the big boys or if I will end up paranoid and demoralized! [I'm in the Denethor fan club after all]

It works for me playing the High Elfs just move the old elf with the beard to that settlement that houses it then wait five turns then click the settlement and then hit F3 (a little note make sure you dont have toggle_fow on)

There is a little green circle on top of the blue if you select Minas Tirith when you can use it
