add_events and movies

I am having a problem adding a movie using the add_events commands. Underneath the part of the monitor in question. The monitor simply doesn't run with that line, if I remove that line everything is fine:

            add_events
            event    historic    frank_statisch 
            date 0
            movie    event/frankreich_kommt_movie.bik
            position 9,88
        end_add_events

The path and name of the movie is correct, the movie plays. Underneath the vanilla script I orientated myself at:

            add_events

It appears it was the sequence, underneath works:

What do the region lines do?
Does it mean that the event only runs if you own the region?

It defines the regions in which the event will happen (only one of them)
