    Default I dont get it

Whenever I download something it automatically goes to a download folder and as it said in the installation that when you download it will auto go too the mod folder in the Steamapps folder and into the medieval folder, right? I thought you cant download anything into the Program Files (x86) folder? im so confused right now im just about to explode...noob at computers so im extremely confused. idk if its me or Mozilla probably me. any help would be appreciated so I dont screw my computer up. I installed part 1 of Third Age and it sits in my Downloads folder. Does anyone know what to do? I read the install procedure again and again but it doesnt say anything about the Program (x86) or how to send it to the mod folder.

Are you downloading the main files for this mod? If you have, just double click to start the installation. I believe the newest release is in two parts, install one, then install the other. The installation pathway may need to be set to steam. Do you know how to do that?
If you rep me, leave your name. I'll look more kindly on your future transgressions.

No clue on how to set it up that way. Like I said I downloaded or installed and the whole 1.6 GB is standing in my Downloads folder. I don't know how to move it to the Mod folder.

Oh I looked into the Firefox options so it automatically downloads each app or file into the Downloads Folder. Should I change it to Medieval-Mods? Then delete the already installed Part 1 and reinstall it?

Downloading and installing are two different processes. You can specify where you want to place the downloaded file in your system, I usually place them on the desktop. You can then double-click on the downloaded file to begin the installation process. In my case, the installer detected the correct folder and all I had to do was confirm the location and the install went perfectly.

When you download the files it won't automatically go into the mod folder - run the installation from your download folder and it will install it in the right place. If you're having problems use KK's installation instructions:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    1. Install both parts of the mod as instructed above.

    2. Open Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War/mods. There you will find all your installed Kingdoms campaigns as well as the Third_Age modfolder.

    3. Edit the name of one of the Kingdoms folders (americas, britannia, crusades, teutonic), preferably your least favorite campaign. The new name doesn't have to be anything specific.

    4. Change the name of the Third_Age folder to the former name of the Kingdoms folder you just edited. For example, if you edited the americas folder, the Third_Age folder should be named americas.

    5. Select the appropriate campaign from the steam menu. If you renamed the Third_Age folder to americas, select the americas campaign. If you named it crusades, select the crusades campaign and so on.

    6. Steam will now launch the mod.

Alternatively you can use the Kingdoms Launcher App.

You don't need to move it to the mod folder yourself. Just double click on the files you downloaded and it will install itself in the mod folder.

Alright I just figured out why *im such a retard* I went into Options in Firefox it auto install to Downloads folder so I set it up to ask me to save so I just saved it into The Mod folder with all Kingdoms games. Did I still do it right even if I did it manually? After im done installing both parts into the mod folder does he mean too swap names by calling Third Age into crusades? Im sorry for wasting your guys time im just panick mode at the moment.

Doesn't matter where the files are saved really.

I don't have the Steam version so don't have the problem of swapping names, but from KK's instructions yes you need to change the name of the Third Age folder to crusades (or one of the other mod folder names) and change crusades to another name ("old mod" would do).

Yes the two parts will install into the same folder, you don't need to change any names.

Alright, im lost again...I have both exe files on my desktop, thats all good, installed both files but I think i just screwed myself. It showed the path where to install them at as Sega/Medieval 2 but I dont have that and kinda just saved it into the Mods folder where Crusades, british isles, etc is in and the folder is named Mods as well and when i open it it shows the Thirds Age folder. ok is that right?
