I like both , SS for history, and vanilla for America and orignal colrs and stuff.

I like very much Stainless Steel v4.1 as I haven't Kingdoms but I prefer The Long Road v2.0 over vanilla and SS.

Original vanilla is a waste of space with all the balance problems. Original kingdoms has its merits for its simplicity, but is just not challenging enough.

Easily stainless steel. I played over 200 hours of MTW2, and the vast majority of it was using SS. Vanilla is not too bad, but once i played SS, i had no reason to switch to anything else out there for MTW2.

Stainless Steel, but I haven't updated to versions higher than 6.1 due to my own reasons. I consider 6.1 as the ultimate version.

I prefer not to wait 10 minutes between turns, so, Vanilla. I prefer some other mods compared to SS, I still love vanilla tho.

I'd say Vanilla. Stainless Steel is imo for the much longer and more difficult campaigns, vanilla more for the conquer-and-conquer campaigns and ofcourse America's.

those who play vanilla, you should try retrofit mod + GUAM , it's more balanced vanilla + many fixes including 2h units and GUAM adds all the units from kingdoms expansion (e.g. : if you play as the Byzantine Empire you'll be able to train greek firethrowers)
I never played SS, maybe I'll try it someday
