    Default Marriage of William Wallace

Playing the Brittania Campaign on the Kingdoms expansion, I managed to marry my princess to William Wallace, and now he's a member of my family. Well, while moving him across Scotland's territory (they were my allies even before the marriage), they attacked him. I don't know if it is because I stole their national hero or just the fact that I don't have military access so one of my generals walking there would make them angry. So, I was just wondering, will this marriage mess up the game somehow?

I don't think so. You just got one of the Scottish generals, the marriage still "exists" and Wallace should remain yours, just the alliance purpose of the wedding has been eliminated by war

Yes, but I was wondering if the fact that Wallace is mine will affect some future event in the campaign, since he isn't fighting with the Scots anymore.

Not likely. Such a marriage is certainly possible, and thus it shouldn't be ruining anything.

On a slightly related note in the crusader kingdoms campaign, I won a battle as king philip of frace and got the man of the hour award. I accepted. Will this effect the game for the character in any way?

Are you at war with Scotland?

And I don't think that will affect much. When i played Britainia as England, i didn't even see him in the whole campaign. I guess he died before my army could meet him. And of course with or without him, my game still went on.
Honored filly of M and happily taking my glance over Milner and Diamat
