i would only pay them if i couldnt afford to have an attack on me but most of the time they ask money off me and say accept or we will attack, they have 2 cities with their capital underseige

like im going to give them money when i could just wipe them off the face of the earth in some quick attacks

Yeah, I love it when you take 90% of a factions territory, defeat all of thier field armies, and orchestrate all neiboring factions to declare war on them. And then remnants of thier forces led by the last remaining memeber of the imperial family demand 60,000 denarii, all of thier territory back, and you map information. Classic.

Its an insult when they do that. When they do that to me, I make sure that i kill them all, completely destroy every thing in their cities, exterminate the population and so on.

i wouldnt go that far but i will put them into slavery and see how they like there punishment for there stupid plea

I was trying to make a deal with the waning Gauls. I said, give me lots of money, about 10000 denarii, (It was a lot for them) and I would declare a ceasefaire, then I said "accept or we will attack". They had a counter offer that was less money, and they asked for "please do not attack" while also saying "accept or we will attack. I laughed in their faces, accepted, and , like a planned, they attacked me in the next turn after giving me half the money they had left. The Gauls were no more in about 5 turns.
