Will these games work for Vista?

I wouldn't mind playing any of these games, but I have Vista...Will they work?

You can try but I think most people's experience has not been good. It does not interface well, and it could crash or freeze or simply not work.

I took a somewhat unusual approach. I bought a "old" laptop with an older version of Windows, just so I could play TWM. It works great!

Well, the MTW demo works like a charm in my Vista PC. No lag, and the controls work as the should. You should download the demo first before buying.

I have windows vista and it works for me. Not too sure about Shogun 2 though.
(Edit): Wait, I thought you meant Medieval 2, sorry. RTW and MTW2 worked fine for me.

Axalon might know about this but afaik it won't propoerly because these games are based on DX8 while vista and 7 only have upto DX9 support.

Both of them Work Fine, no Problem/issue, that i know of.

The problem generally isn't Vista. The main difficulty in running STW/MTW on modern PC's is the hardware, specifically video cards -- Nvidia 8xxx & 9xxx cards are particularly "cranky" with these games.

Well I want to buy Medieval: Total War, hopefully this week, but I'm not sure if the stores around here still sell that old fossil of a game....

i've played the game long long time ago until recently i decided to play again. I installed it in my notebook (vista) and it crash to the window at the moment i click on the building panel and the layout is not in the right position. Then I tried another pc of mine (window 7) this time the moment i started the gn my screen keep blinking non stop.. is very irritating. i tried start a simple gn and is work, click on building panel everything nothing crash at the moment. It just that the screen blinking non stop. how to solve the problem? anyone Help!!!!

First, apply this fix MTW_Gold_v2_01_CTD_Fix.zip. It should help with crashes.
Then check stickys here.
There is no a definite solution. Much depends on your configuration.
