The grandson to one of Rome's greatest commanders, Maximinius Atilius Regulus and son of the former Triumvir, Lucius, Octavius was born into a well privileged family. With the fall of his name's reputation, the young Roman has sought to rebuild his family's fortunes and continue the legacy. Despite his background being Iberian-Roman, Octavius is well respected for his work and loyalty compared to the rumors of his deceitful half-brother, Septimius.

Tiberius Licinius is the grandson of the renowned Gallic Legate, Gaius Licinius, who served Maximinius Regulus and Severus Faustus during various campaigns into Gaul. He was a childhood friend of Octavius and continues to be a loyal asset to the Regulan cause. He serves best as an infantry commander for the Roman Army, but is capable of being a good cavalry officer.

Maximinus sat within his villa, gazing around the city of Rome from his location on the Palatine, overlooking the beautiful home of his many ancestors. He sighed lightly, gazing around the silent home. His sister, Flavia was out, gathering necessities from the market for dinner tonight. He grabbed an apple and bit into it, then his blue eyes would glance at Rome before the young Roman headed inside.

Spotless military career, excellent marks from the Academy in Ravenna...the life of a solider now turned into the head of the family and Praetor of Rome. His father's untimely death followed by his mother's death about a few years ago caused a great pain into the family. Thankfully, Maxinimus's uncle Numerius and his widowed aunt, Aemilia helped him get situated back at the estate with his little sister, Flavia. It was restless work to be in the Curia, but someday, Maximinus would return to the field to lead the soldiers of Rome into glorious battle and to victory.

The lictors approach the Consul and let him in. Maximinus was currently with his sister having lunch on the rear end of the Villa that overlooked the vineyards. The lictors announce the Consul's visit. The Praetor wipes his mouth and immediately stands up.

Consul Gnaeus! What a pleasant surprise to have you visit my humble abode. Welcome welcome. Can I offer you anything to eat or drink perhaps?

A servant brings up a chair for the Consul to sit in. Flavia stands there quietly as her older brother speaks.

"Ave Maximinus" Gnaeus smiles warmly, taking the seat, and kindly accepting the offer for refreshment, "I hope I have not come at a bad time?" he asks concerned...

Oh no no! My sister and I were just having lunch. You did not interrupt us at all.

Maximinius has his glass refilled and smiles. Flavia gets some more water and continues eating for now.

So tell me, Consul, what brings you here to my humble Villa?

Gnaeus thinks for a moment, "Troubling matters, Quaestor." he sighed, "I am soon to be on campaign in Lusitania yet I seem to find our Tribunes...lacking and the plebs...I'm sure you understand the concern, I would not wish to foolishly abandon the Curia in my term here to return from campaign and find the plebs up in arms. The tribunes hold to much power and I fear that Rome needs her Patricians now more than ever."

He listens to the words of the Consul and nods to Flavia. The young lady bows and walks off for now. The lictors stand guard and watch. The Praetor lowers his voice.

Quaestor Lucius and myself share the same view...we are looking for support to form a Patrician cause to counter the growing populist movement. Rome needs tradition to keep it alive and strong, not the power of these populists that seem to grow ever so bold in our Curia.

Only myself and my sister remain. Our mother died ten years ago and father slowly lost his reason to live without my mother around and died one night. We are support by our Uncle and Aunt though.
