Maximinus is a distant descendant of the consuls Marcus Atilius Regulus both from 294 and 227 BC. He is known for his brilliance in military strategy and a man of action, not of desk work. His father was a talented general during the recent Cimbrian War who lost his life close to the end of the conflict due to a grave illness. Currently twenty-five years old, Maximinus has continued his family's estate as head of the family who live on Aventine Hill, overlooking the river Tiber, north of the estate.
(He is literally going to be Lucius...but hey, decided for a new name!)
