    The latest (1a) covers all previous ones. So in order to play VII, you just need to install 1.0 and Patch 1a

    i have the RTW gold edition on steam does it effect patches?? I installed the gold patch and it locks up at the start screen for some reason

    the gold-patch is for vanilla rtw. vanilla rtw patch 1.6 is needed as basesetup.
    if you also have babarian invasion playable, then you have automaticly vanilla rtw patched to 1.6.

    this is the needed setup for rtr7.0 + patch 1a
