Thanks. Yes, that pristine version is nice, eh? I tend to use the one below - it's based on an image of a real renactment flag:
And this version perhaps from here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=416888

Pdguru; I loaded the equipment mod into my game looks really sharp! No pics yet of this.
Also; Is the Napoleon Flag Mod the same one included in DMN? They have the same name.
Awesome pics, really
Vennonetes, how to make possible take a shot of soldiers directly in a "face to face" camera? do you use a particular program?
Pdguru, I've never controlled your submod 'cause I was sure it was in LME...but considering what I saw here I've understood I must run to download it.
Sad for your hardware problem (by your pics I imagine you've a marvellous machine), I was in trouble for long time before make my desktop stable and well working during this decisive september.
Pdguru,
I have additional info regarding the OG/middle guard Grenadiers uniform I described in earlier posts. The uniform is called "tenue de campagne" or "tenue de route" which means campaign dress or road dress. I have attached a complete description of it below.
Also I have found some interesting pics of Swiss grenadiers.
The last 2 pics show the Geneva old grenadiers. The unit was created in 1794.
In every case....grenadiers must have a modify of how are in vanilla...
How I see in this there are line grenadiers, I suppose....before and after Bardin regulation Pduguru?
Pardon mon amě but seeing those immages I think that the line grenadiers shako metal plat and dettails up how are present in laigle are more attendible of that metal plat that I have seen here.
You exhaust me, Carabinier! With both types of uniform you can recruit which ones you want. As for the grenadier bearskin plate, this pack is "work in progress" - and of course you can use L'aigle or any other of the fine mods out ther for units that you prefer their interpretations. This is what it's about - choice. And with that comes some responsibility from you.
speachless!
There should be a Pdguru for every faction-nation in game...maybe for Italy in an "Risorgimento" mod. Italian troops looks fantastic (italian granadier guard).
Thanks to you and the whole Historical Research team.
Carabinier- You've got to be kidding right? We Kept telling you for the last few threads to use L'aigle's mod for the grenadiers and you kept asking Pdguru to make new ones. So now that he has been kind enough to actually please you and make what you asked for you tell him that L'Aigle's mod is better????? Unbelievable............
Hi Pdguru,
Great work as usualand guess what I think the new plate for the line grenadiers is fantastic
. I have attached a pic of a real plate for comparison.
As for the middle guard I think light beige or white pants would look better than the brown ones. I have been trying to get more details on the actual bearskin they used but I have a hard time finding details maybe Prince Of Essling can help us there. I would think their bearskin would be different from the old guard one and yet close enough to mistake them.
As for the Waterloo Old Guard grenadiers are you planning to take a shot at it? I have attached additional pics for inspiration. Plate should be gold colored. Also if possible I was thinking of having a mix of soldiers with and without great coats see pic below. One last thing I was wondering if you could add the "brisques" or chevrons on the sleeves of the soldiers. The chevron was an indication of how many years you have spent in the army. 1 chevron means 7 years of service. In the Old Guard 2 chevrons were the norm but 3 chevrons were not unusual.
Thanks again for all your efforts

Thank you all for your support above in this "demanding" week,. It appears Carabinier is not here to make friends. So be it.
So, a couple more shots of the units as they near completion. Centaure, you'll see I have completed work on the grenadier plate - I hope you still like it - I prefer it to be lighter in color than the test version or the one you propose... but I think the finish is about right now, and it helps differentiate with the Imperial Guard plate.
Here, then, is the early line grenadier:
And here is your "Middle Guard en Route" column, Centaur! The plates are the same as my OG - PoE helped me get those plate colors about right a while back - they were not gold (although the officers are more that way). Great minds think alike on the brown trousers - I have already replaced them with whiteSo, note the white pants and I have also 'grubbied-up' the uniform a bit to give the more "on the march" look. They could chalk the belts easily enough, but clening those white uniforms was another matter! What do you think?
And as pert of the Imperial guard, the Italians will have this plate:

WAOUW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only say that you nailed it you absolutely nailed itThe new color of the plate makes it look even more real. As for the middle guard I am speechless... well actually one word comes to my mind "perfect"
. The Italians look terrific. Beautiful work Pdguru just beautiful
Thanks for these exceptional and unique units. I am actually glad Carabinier pushed you to make the line grenadiers as the result is beyond what I imagined

POE, thanks for the feedback. I think the distribution of the bearskin bonnets to the middle guard in 1815 is linked to the fact that the imperial guard was severely depleted at the time. Napoleon probably thought it would make them look more impressive as the enemy would think they would be up against the OG as they did during the assault of Mont Saint Jean...but that is just my theory
Steph, I understand that you have helped Pdguru for the atlas template so thank you also for your support![]()
First of all, many thanks to Pdguru for his latest efforts (in particular the Neopolitan Departmental Troops)
Turning to "la moyenne garde" according to eyewitness accounts they wore virtually anything - being clothed in a mix of bearskin bonnets, chapeaux, shakos, fatigue caps, coats, trousers, pants, gaiters & boots! Only the senior regiments (1st & 2nd) Grenadiers a Pied & Chasseurs a Pied wore their well known old guard uniforms - complete with bearskin bonnets.

Wow! These new Grenadier units are just outstanding! Just remember Pdguru:
You can please some of the people some of the time. You can please all of the people some of the time....but you can`t please all of the people all of the time!
I for one am pleased with your efforts.
Thank you good sir.
Thanks you to all those who like the images and the units.
And to PoE's last point, I think that the final stages of Waterloo probably didn't have the images we tend to think of of parade-ground imperial guard marching into oblivion... No, I think the middle guard may have resembled the old Guard but it was probably a tad less pretty than we like to think. Perhaps like this...
Napoleon taking a last look before the middle guard march toward the British positions for the final push...
Orders given, the French forces, veterans all, with mixture of uniforms and histories, march forward..
And as they approach the allied lines, the men know the fire will be withering...
And as the columns crests the brow of the hill, the British begin their raking volleys...
And the rest is history... or is it?
So, what I will now call the "Waterloo Middle Guard" unit here, can now have some men in greatcoats, and a mixture of Imperial Guard bearskins, grenadiers bearskins with cords, and traditonal bicorns, as shown above. With blue and white pants, that's 12 variations across the unit. What do you think?
PS: With regards the nationality debate, I am British but now reside in the US of A. My passion for French Napoleonics stems from tabletop armies 35 years ago. NTW is simply a beautiful, magnificent sandbox for me to make the art I could only have in my head back then. Bravo for CA, and for all who sail in her.
