Make the Long Yari Ashigaru's Yari standard for ashigaru?

Is there a way to make the Oda Long Yari Ashigaru Yari model the standard one for all yari ashigaru? The trident looking Yari was more for samurai as they were more expensive. Infact it would be cool to give the trident looking yari to yari samurai and the long yari to ashigaru. Is this possible?

I would keep the short yari for cavalry troops though, except for the great guard cav perhaps.

yeah it's doable, If you open up PFM and change the warscape ID reference to whatever the long yari's is. it'll only take a second.

There exist some yari mods, but are mostly outdated. Long yari for all ashigaru is not a bad idea, but I hate when yari ashigaru switch to katanas. The problem with trident yari for samurai is that they switch to their original yari when they are fighting. I already tried that so I know. But maybe it's doable through warscape tables

I'll do some experiments and post the results.

The results were mixed. Good point is, that it's doable both: yari ashigaru can fight with long yari and yari samurai can fight with trident yari without switching to normal. Now the bad news: It looks qute horrible, because soldiers with long weapons fight in close quarters and ignore their weapon length. So I've seen some scenes with yari samurai piercing through ashigaru to the middle of his trident yari. The only way is to edit animations and I don't have guts for it. Also, tell me, If you wanna a variant with ashigaru switching to katana in close quarters or not and I'll upload the mod.

Oh yes, I didn't think about the animation part lol, that is a bit problematic. So it is doable then? That's cool. If you have the mod ready, I'd like to try it out myself.

Here is the promised mod. I'm sorry it took so long. You haven't specified how much you wanna tweak yari so you'll find two files.
Yari heavy mod changes all ashigaru to long pikes and all yari samurai to trident yari, also yari ashigaru fight only with pikes and don't switch to katanas.
The light version changes ashigaru only and they will switch to katana while fighting in close quarters.
So you can test and chose the version you like. Have a fun with the mod.

I was wondering if it is possible to mod the yari to a point where it is the length of the long yari while maintaining the pike shape head of the vanilla yari?
