If memory serves, you can play 6.1 with old saves, only without the new features like 4 turns per year and so on, so I don't think that's the problem.

I have no idea, really. Just hang in there. People are very helpful on this forum, you'll probably get a good answer soon.

im not sure but it may be the fact that u have installed and played the 6.1 version. once the 6.1 features are activated, maybe you lose the ability to plan the older 6.0 games

No each saved game has its own info, I would say 1. The saved game is corrupted or 2. You have a modified version of SPQR 6.0 and then playing 6.1 with your saved game has something that 6.1 cannot produce because you had a custom game. If the latter wasnt done then its just a corrupted saved game, unless you cannot even play a normal 6.1 campaign.

hmmm thats wierd because all of my save games work on 6.1, onlywithout the changes. I recommend just atarting new 6.1 campaigns becuse its really worth it. four turns per year really change the outcome of your empire. It makes you generals live 2 times as long, and simply creates more hours of gameplay. pluas you h ave other features that make playing it better than 6.0.
