I just started a Russian campaign on VH/VH.
I've never played it far enough to see how it pans out. So does France eventually conquer Austria and move into Russia with a full fledged invasion?

Actually, on m/m I've had Napoleon come with a small number of vet troops take a few cities from me-before austria was conquered!

weird! in my current Ireland campaign, Nappy himself has invaded Britain, like he should have.

even on n/n I have never not seen France carve its way though Austria and the minors and reach Russia.

Happened to me, right after they kill Austria the Russians should be taking the Balkans and Sweden which means France now has a reason to invade the Balkans and kill you from the south.

just wondering if I sat around and did nothing would napoleon evetauly try to invade england?

-Mod Leader for Shogun 2: Foreign Invasion if you want a mod with alot of units this is for you, not only is there the 40 units CA made theres planned to be atleast 177 NEW units when its done.
-Modder in the World War I and Shogun II project. The only full scale mod for FOTS and it plays nothing like FOTS. FOTS may have Gatling guns, WW1&S2 has tekidanto samurai, SNLF, MGs, kisho snipers, assault infantry(shotguns) just to name a few. -

I've always want it to be england vs napoleon, but napoleon takes to long to conquer europe.

Playing as Russia he doesn't seem to want to invade me. He had Spain (Britain conquered Spain and Nappy took it back) to Poland and he wouldn't really touch me. I lost patience and unleashed the dogs.

France will get to Russia by 1812 on any difficulty unless something weird happens. Try the UAI (my sig), it makes France much more likely to get there.

As the Ottoman empire, I had the Balkans, Russia and Scandinavia. Then I noticed Nappie had conquered all of Western Europe. Spain was still there, Britain had lost Wales and there were some Italian states left too, but Europe was now bipolar. We both didn't dare to declare war on each other... It's a cold war now.
So yes, France will go for Europe if they can, I believe. (This was btw only on normal difficulty) -

Played as Britain and made sure I had a Army to defend the Isles and a positive Income and I just kept ending my turns. A couple of turns before the end of the game France had captured all of Europe and captured London from me on VH/VH
