    Default Tempest?

Is there any way (command, event, dirty trick, sorcery) to evocate a tempest in some point in a precise turn via campaign_script?

Kiliç Alì: Well, you can script a plague:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    campaign_script:
    Code:
    	monitor_event FactionTurnEnd FactionIsLocal
    		and FactionType sicily
    		add_events
    			event plague plague_hits_minas_tirith
    			date 0
    			position 239, 128
    		end_add_events
    	terminate_monitor
    	end_monitor
    historic_events:
    Code:
    {PLAGUE_HITS_MINAS_TIRITH_BODY}Plague in Minas Tirith.
    {PLAGUE_HITS_MINAS_TIRITH_TITLE}Plague

    So a storm shouldn't be a problem:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Code:
    event storm plague_hits_minas_tirith

    this doen not work:

    here the entry in historic_events:

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

; historical events and when they occur
    ;
; Events are followed by a category, and a label
; labels are used as lookups into historic_events.txt for title and body strings,
; and also as image names for the event picture
    ;
    ; Currently supported categories are:
    ; counter - just increase a counter
; historic - Just generates a message and increase a counter
; volcano - triggers a volcano if there is one on the map at the position specified
; plague - triggers a plague in settlements at the specified positions
; emergent_faction - triggers the emergence of the given faction. This faction must be marked

    ; as emergent in descr_strat.txt
    ;
; event descriptions are followed by a date (year as offset from starting date) or a date range
; and either a list of positions, or list of regions. Each position/region specification must appear on
; a seperate line below the date

"storm" seems not to be supported.

    The trouble with storms is:

After they've hit your no longer able to build watchtowers!

i thought that had to do only with floods..

since storms are usualy coded to occur in the sea

I have had storms only hit me in Lisbon and Edinburgh, and well out in the Atlantic.

I thought you would've needed descr_disasters.txt and descr_events.txt. You'd need to calculate the turn numbers to years from start of game.

well, i put this code into the campaign_script

    monitor_event FactionTurnStart FactionIsLocal
    add_events
    event storm kraken
    date 0
    position 3, 156
    end_add_events
    end_monitor

and the kraken entry in historic events
so within the first 2 turn I expected at least one tempest, but nothing happens

the curious thing is that the campaign_script works fine for the rest, while log says nothing

If you look at the ‘descr_disasters’ file:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
    Code:
    ; event event_type
    ; frequency in years
; winter only occurs in winter
; summer only occurs in summer
; warning provides a one year warning
; position position event can occur in strat coords [can specify multiple positions on consecutive lines]
; region region event can occur by region name [can specify multiple regions on consecutive lines]
; climate climate event can occur by climate name [can specify multiple climates on consecutive lines]
; min_scale minimum size for event
; max_scale maximum size for event
    Code:
    event storm
    frequency	4
    winter true
    summer false
    warning false
    region the sea
    min_scale	2
    max_scale	5

it does definitively not work. But maybe it is only me...

Has anybody ever managed to script a tempest in this way?
