This television drama is about two brothers, Sam and Dean, who were raised by their father, John, to hunt and kill all things that go "bump in the night". Im personally addicted to this show, a GF showed it to me about a year ago and ive been hooked ever since. Anyone else watch this series? I love how they use real lore throughout the series and how theyve interpreted it. I find it very creative and interesting

'Hah, another Supernatural thread. Me too got inflicted by this by my ex a long time ago, and I've followed the show routinely since season 3. Supernatural is excellent in some ways, but I think the current season is perhaps the worst yet.

What do you guys think about season 7 so far?

Started watching in season one but I stopped during the stuff with the angels. Are they still going through that stuff in season 7?

That's impossible to answer, I'm inclined to say "No" though.

This show was epic, and I use was cause it just went down hill after season 5

But it is still decent, and I have hopes that it might get better

I started wacthing since first episode a few years back, i think the show should have ended in the 5th Season. But they go on, and i think it end up, all the same things, the same issues, its getting pretty old imo. It went donwhill after 5th Season. Now its the leviathons, but yet again, doesnt bring anything new, to the show.

No they change the "Mytology" but its the same thing. But the stuff with angels was ok and brilliant until 5th Season, after that , was meeeh.
I started to wacth true blood instead, and already finished all 4 seasons, eagerly waiting the 5th season, that will come out next summer.

Supernatural suffer from a few issues. Primarily the low budget that ensures there never is going to be a proper monster in a show about monster hunters. They always are humans with some kind of deformity.

Particularly the season 6 "Dragons" were hilariously stupid "Roar I'm a dragon" *American man wearing a suit*
And that recent episode where the Egyptian god Osiris was revealed to hang out in a bar in Dearborn, Michigan to find victims to judge in his little barn.

Still the actors are terrific (what's left of them anyway, series regulars are now down to 3 people ((2 if bobby is dead))

I had my hopes up for season 7 after the mediocre to bad season 6, "Mother of all" was a horrible "big baddie", but Crowley is the best character ever, so it kinda balanced out. Still the season left us with Castiel as god. Now that sat an interesting premise for season 7, with the brothers united against this Castiel-god, who would have made an awesome "Big Baddie" because the Brothers know him and he would think he did the right thing for the humans. But then Episode 2 happened and Castiel exploded and somehow created the Leviathans, who are as generic a supernatural villain you can get.

And its been rather stupid after that. With the Osiris episode as a low point.

Sounds like it is suffering from what allot of TV shows suffer from, the makers unwillingness to just end it were it should end and making continually more conveluted plots as they run out of good ideas. Should have ended it with the dead yellow eyes really.

i thought season 4 and 5 were great, Misha Collins as Castiel was fantastic. There some great episodes at the end of season 6 and i thought they set it up for a great way to end the series at season 7. But in season 7 it feels like they changed their minds on what the seasons plot was going to be about 3 times each episode. The latest episode was amazing though, i hope bobby isnt dead, but if he is they gave him one hell of a send off

I think that the choice the reaper was telling Bobby was to remain in that situation and become a ghost or to follow him and go to the afterlife (paradise I guess)
In either case he is dead.

I Found the season 5 GRAND , season 6 post grand , jsut wathced the 1 episode of season 7 and got pretty scared in the line " He's dead. " .
Cass and Balthazar were one of my fav characters and i think i was the only guy finding Cass's purgatory idea reasonable ...

But this should really be the last season .

They had this amazing plot all lined up with Cass as the new god "big bad"

Then boom he dies randomly and we get Deamons Leviathans.

Stupid. Though there have been some good episodes this season.
