yes, I've downloaded it. I haven't tested the changes yet but i suppose better balancing doesn't hurt. So are we going to use the new version? And when will we start?

Yes, but that's five thousand gold. That's a large army. And how does it make keeping track of rivals easier?
Personally, I think that declaring kingship should not cost money. Or at least, not that much.
Commanding House Stark of Winterfell in This Is A Hotseat and in The requested hotseat
Commanding House Lannister of Casterly Rock in Yet again another hotseat
Commanding House Tully of Riverrun in New Enhanced Hotseat
Commanding House Tyrell of Highgarden in This Is Most Definitely A Hotseat
Commanding House Greyjoy of Pyke in War Of The Throne
Commanding House Arryn of the Eyrie in Westeros At War
kings have expanses. its in there, so we should use it.
A one time payment of 5,000 gold is nothing in the long run.
"I, Pinkie Pie, declare that these treats are fit for a king, or a queen, or a princess!"
"Me? Ruin? I'm not the ruiner, I'm the ruinee! Or is it ruinness? Ruinette?"
"She's ahead of the litter all right. The pick of the litter. The cat's pajamas. Oh wait. Why would Applejack take some poor kitty's pj's? That's not very sporting of her."
"More balloons! No, that's too many balloons. More candy! No, less candy. Ooh! I know! Streamers!"
"Oh my gosh. Hold on to your hooves – I am just about to be brilliant!"
I think we should be allowed to destroy buildings. It's an accurate reflection of reality: cities captured would be sacked and only your core territories would be much use in producing reinforcements for really quite some time.
I vote we keep it in.
No it is not an accurate reflection, people would not sack a city when they are stuck inside it. As for captured cities, you have the option to assimilate it which is the same thing.

Fine, Aerys would but he was insane and turned Rickard Stark into a barbeque![]()

Which you can do via the assimilate button.
We can not act like they do in the books because here we conquer lands wheres there the Westlands was always the Westlands and the Riverlands was always the Riverlands. No matter how many cities Tywin sacked he did not attempt to bring the Riverlands under his direct control.

what about the defending party may not destroy buildings but the attacking party may do it? I'm trying to find an agreement here.

Yeah I was thinking more of if a castle is currently under siege the defender can't destroy the buildings.
Incidentally folks; there is a new version of the Enhanced 0.53 available. He's added some new Characters, and altered the balance by tweaking the finances of certain nations and, crucially, he's moved the starting positions of Lannister, Stark and Tully. If you haven't yet, I'd check it out. Maybe we can use that?
yes ok, I think everyone can agree to this.
So when will we start? all the players have been filled, the rules are set. I say let's start tomorrow.
Edit:
I have downloaded it already, I say let's use it. But to prevent problems, perhaps it is best to upload the same folder again? just as we did in Yet another hotseat.
HERE IS A TEST FILE FOR THE NEW ENHANCED 0.53:

If you can get that to work, then we can use this. There're no passwords for that file.
I will start it tonight, giving people time for diplomacy and intrigue.
