Taming the West: Total War
An 1800-1870 American West mod

This mod idea actually came to me in a dream, in which i was experiencing the Oregon Trail, on the Total War platform. Anyways the key concepts are stated above, it will cover the American west, as well as Alaska, from the years 1800-1870. Many things were going on during this timeframe: The expansion of the Russian-American Company and their war with the Tlingit natives, the Oregon Trail, the California Gold Rush, the emergence of Mexico, the list goes on.
Potential List of Factions (not limited to):
-Viceroyalty of New Spain
-Empire of Mexico (emergent)
-Empire of Russia
-Great Britian (emergent)
-United States of America (emergent)
-Tlingit Natives
-Dene Natives
-Sioux Nation
-Apache Confederation
-Haida Natives
-Inuit
-and more
WHY I chose the Rome Total War BI platform:
-Because the Nomadic faction feature works very well for a mod on the American west, the Sioux and Apache were definately nomadic, traveling from place to place, as well the United States can appear as an emergent faction in Nomadic form, this representing the early settlers who went on the Oregon trail and the California gold rush, and the armies naturally being the settlers who were able to fight and thus defend the rest.
Not to mention that the wars between the Russians and Tlingit natives in Canada has never been covered in any Total War mods before (at least not that i know of)

I am sorry if this OP is rather dull, but this is moreso than anything an idea, i am willing to do as much research as is necessary on all the factions, and later (come mid december) i can start working on faction symbols and banners, but anybody who is interested in this mod and willing to work on it should feel free to join, and anybody willing to lead this mod can do so as well, and steer it in any direction they see fit. I feel as if a mod like this could have real potential, and maybe i am right
