but how did it crash?what where you doing,was it just in the ai turn round?
wich faction you started a new with that was crashing?
maybe you are extracting the game file too a wrong place?
and the log file,is so little that a can see nothing,but am playing his game too and i have not much ctd's, so strange.
maybe give me your saved game so i can see.
edit,maybe it's the dsa.cfg file where i put a high graphic stats in their.

I wanted to play the danish faction, it ctd after i click on the danish faction and press play it start to load and after the loading screen it ctd, i put my video settings low and still ctd. I dont have a save game becose it craches right after the loading screen

strange,when i start a new game with danish faction the game starts good,no ctd.
maybe you can go too DSA\data\world\maps\base and delete their the map.rwm file so it can rebuild.

then if nobody else has the ctd problem,then it must be your installation,maybe delete the dsa folder and then install all the part again;sorry for this as i would like you too play this game.
and the log system file is when you click right on your schortcut too laugh the game(mod DSA schortcut),too see the date(bestandslocatie openen,daar file noemt system log txt, is in de log folder),it's in the log folder!!!!
but new update got too have a new campaign too work good,as a saved game will crash am affraid.
and today i updated this mod again with some little fixes,and some better portraits lol
edit post 11 12 2016;new update;more portraits made better or replaced by new one,put in the viva rebellion in from meloo182 and others and removed the older script,so hope now it will not ctd,will start new campaign,still beta lol.
edit 2;start new campaign had ctd at turn 2,now fixed,new upload,text missing,strange,other ctd after turn 5,fixed again missing text,strange,lucky savegame compatible,so can continue mine campaign.
edit 3:one wrong unit put in viva rebellion so got too start a new campaign,fixed in new upload,still testing.
edit 4;turn 28 ctd,text missing,fixed and coulkd continue the game.
edit;turn 257 ctd,but after toggle_fow and follow ai in slow movement,could play further,but am not sure that it was this that was fixing it,becausce found some error in descr_faction standings ,that maybe somehow was doing the ctd,now fixed it in upload,could continue too play.

Hi man
I installed your latest version 2 days ago. Started a Byzantium campaign, this time i kept ALL your scrips, i did ZERO modifications, i left the mod untouched, just as you made it. And so far everything seems to be alright.
I like to see that now i get warning messages for spawning armies with cool texts saying spies gathered information so i can prepare in advance, just like real life, i don't see how can anybody sneak a 20.000 strong army unnoticed into somebody's border lol. The authority works great now, i increased the size of my kingdom 3 times by conquering like 5 new provinces and my king is max authority. Completely accurate, if somebody increases their country 3 times in size i bet people are going to respect his authority.
Great job man, so far i have only compliments for you.

Stevie, i found out how to reduce the timer for capturing the town center/plaza.
999 minutes was absolutely insane to wait when the enemy reinforcement army AI gets bugged and refuses to attack the settlement you have conquered
All you have to do is go to "E:\Jocuri\Medieval 2 Total War Gold\mods\DSA\data" and edit the file "battle_config",
Open it with Notepad and find this :
"<!-- rules relating to plaza capture -->
<plaza-capture>
<!-- time the plaza needs to be held for to capture -->
<time-limit>15.0</time-limit>"
And edit "<time-limit>15.0</time-limit>" to whatever you want. It was 999 but as you can see i edited mine to 15 minutes. Now when the enemy AI get's bugged and refuses to attack i just capture the plaza, fast forward 3x and it takes like 5 minutes and the battle is over.
It is also SAVE GAME COMPATIBLE, i tested it right now. I strongly suggest in your future update to change the time from 999 minutes (16 HOURS !!!!!) to something more tolerable ...
EDIT : I found a small bug. The Watchtower for Bizantines is invisible.

i think i can fix this error,and it is gamesave compatible,strange their are some text missing sometimes but lucky this text missing can be fixed and schould be gamesave compatible,i will fix it as soon as possible,and thanks for the information.

You forgot to put the stuff in the archive in "data" folder but i did it myself.
It worked man. No more CTD on Serbia, WatchTowers are fixed also.

damn sorry about that data stuff,probely went too fast,about the message of the chatillon,am affraid that that fix is not savecompatible,but i will fix this one for sure,i saw that some leaders and heroes have a wrong model strat so i will fix this too and will upload that in page 1,soon as am still am working on this great mod,thanks for the information.
and playing with the byzanties can be difficult,but all the events are happend in real history too,but the first 80 a 150 turns are the herdest turns after this it will be more calmer,but offcoursce you never know what the ai will do lol.
now on first page is new downloadlink of jukoman,with fixes and more but this one is not savecompatible.
now every schould get his wright strat model,even it can sometimes a turn of 2 be.a regent has too a factionleader,and not a regent some authority gain and he will be one,too get his wright strat model.

If it's not savegame compatible then i will play it as it is, and upgrade after i finish my campaign, an extra message is not a big deal after all
Lol it's going to be more difficult ? I'm struggling as it is )) At war with Venice, Sicily, Ottomans and Armenia. I lost my entire army 2 times and almost got my prince killed once, lost 2 settlements so far. Now i'm struggling to come up with a stack formation of units that will be effective against the Ottomans. I kinda like it to be honest, conquering settlement after settlement with no real opposition is boring, now i really have to put my mind into play and figure out strategies to outmaneuver and exterminate my foes
A little suggestion ... the unit cards don't match with the texture of the units. German foot nights, Vestiaritai swordsmen and others. They look so cool in the cards but when you get into the actual battle you realize they are just the lame old units. It would be great if you would make the Bizantine units more cooler, their cavalry is very bad ass, but the infantry looks pathetic

you must known that most of the units can be upgraded,normally the pictures of the units are the wright,if your units are fully upgraded.
and some other moders are making new units for byzantium,eastern romans and if i can use them here and got permission too use them i will put them in this mod too,as am still upgrading this mod.
