how to unpack eb

i wanna use parts of eb for myself. how can i get to the stuff, eg ui cards, skins etc
ho can i unpack the mod

Well, I assume EB used pak files or you would not be talking about unpacking. I am not sure how they are labelled, but the process is simple. Follow the xpak tutorial (link in my sig) and if the EB pak files are named something different than those that are in vanilla, you will just need to rename the EB pak files to match one of the vanilla names. This is necessary because Xpak will only look for the vanilla directories. Hope that helps

i searched my eb installation folders for files ending in *.pak . there are only the rome vanilla files in pak format. so i assume they use something different...i dont know :-/

they easily could have unpacked the files, changed them, and then packed them again. The only way you will find out though is by actually unpacking them

well i was unpacking the packs folder and now i have all the vanilla content. and now?

That means that they didnt change the pak files at all. Are you sure all of the UI etc is in pak folders? I have no experience with the EB files so I can only go off of what you tell me

i know
1. all *.pak i found with a search of windows are vanilla ui´s, sprites,etc unpacked. all pak files a windows search found were in the packs folder..and those are only the vanilla pack files.

is there another file type commonly used to pac rtw stuff? i mean a different file extension?

Not that I am aware of. Normally if the .pak files dont have it, then just check for a UI folder under your Data folder. Aside from that, I dont know where they could have put it

ya i checked for the folders.. ui for example. and they are empty.

i never had trouble finding paks and unpacking them before. im not a pro but i have some experience in this. for me it seems that the eb files are somehow hidden or simply are packed in another file type

ya i did that. thanks for the help anyways. i just wonder why nobody seems to have had the question before me. i mean eb has beautyful aspects...ppl must have harvested it before i assume

EDIT oh dam they are in patch_1 not patch_0..i missed that. i feel stupid now :-\
