Valle and Seeking Advice

Valle Fraterii!

I am newly arrived. Have owned RTW for some time but just now am taking a serious look at it, and have collected some of the major mods...but i wanted to ask for advice...what patches are adivisable to use firstly...as in official patches...and are there any remaining game bugs to watch out for? I will keep looking around and learning as i go but also wanted to ask if there is a place to get Archer's excellent sky mod and any other graphics mods that people like...i saw and collected one for more realistic trees.

Terrae Expugnandae 0.7 had some nice new textures for buildings and also has the Archer mod included but i hoped to find it on its own.

Rome Surrectum II looked quite interesting ... as did the 6.0 of the Total Realism mod but i need to ask for advice on the mega mods..basically i would like the most realistic graphics possible as well as the most accurate historical detail. Thank you in advance for any advice...and help for a new recruit.

Do you have steam? If so, you do not need to patch it.

If not, you need to patch it to 1.5 (1.6 if you have Barbarian Invasion) ASAP, although I do not have the links.

As for big mods, Europa Barbarorum (EB) is the most historically accurate mod, although Rome Total Realism 7 (RTR VII) is also very good. Head on over to their forums for more info.

Thank you very much, i have RTW Gold so i have the Barbarian expansion but had not installed it yet. I will be sure to patch up to 1.6, no I do not use STEAM if i can avoid it and I also like to own hard copies of all the games that I study and research as much as possible. But thanks again for the suggestions.
