Gigantus install, desktop crash! help!

Hello!
First to say i am new to the forum , and from what i saw i really like this mod, i also play Thera and Tatw.

Okay about the problem now.
Let me go from begining..i saw Gigantus post about easier installation and etc..
so i downloaded the the big file from torrent around 3.4gb i think, the i dled the patches(from megaupload) and the language pack(also megaupload).
I folowed the steps and installed the big file first part1>part2.
then i installed the language pack and choosed the english language.
and i installed the patches in their order.
I started the game,then it showes the loading screen and the game crashes returning me 2 deskop
i searched all forums coudnt find anyone with that problem(with gigantus install) so if anyone there knows what to do please help !!
btw ..I am using windows xp-32bit.. if it means anything

Firstly, welcome to the forums, Sokerida

Secondly, are you using steam? Also, are you installing Gig's version over the official version? If so, that may be why it's causing you issues.

Hey ,thank you for the welcome, and for the quick reply!

1st.I am not using steam for this game.
2nd.I only dled the Gig version and installed that and all the patches and language update,becouse yesterday when i was roaming the forum i saw the official version of the mod was rather hard to install, so i looked for the easier solution and i saw Gig version so i decided to start with that one.

btw i am downloading files from rapidshare now,i dled from torrent yesterday so maybe it is a prob there(file loss or smthin )

Once you try the RapidShare links, please tell us if they work or not. Then perhaps we can get everything settled

My advice: Install Parts 1 & 2, then the patch, then the language pack. That's the way I installed it and it works for me.

Also, make sure you download all sub-parts.

about language pack i installed it 1st then patches after , gona try your way now.
I downloaded rapidshare files gona install it now, be back after instalation

Okay i installed from rapidshare! same problem ill describe my instalation !
1. downlaoded all files from rapidshare! i also have patch1>2,patch3,patch4 fromGig aswell as language update.
2. i installed part 1 and part 2 from Gig
3.Installed the patches then

5.I chose Cow english and started the game
It enters the loading screen and loads for few secs and then kicks me out to desktop
same problem as before.
Do i need to delete any files or maybe install something else
I have kingdoms patched all the way and also have tatw mod and thera mod!

Try not to INSTALL the language update if you just using English, just choose COW English after you installed the game (the English one appear in your desktop). That what I did anyway. Hope that help

You made sure to download all of the sub-parts as well, correct?

• Both installers will appear to be frozen at the beginning for a few minutes due to some huge files being installed (animations pack and sound pack respectively).
• DO NOT cancel the installation unless you get an error message!

Make sure you have downloaded all of these parts and they are all in the same folder during installation.

Also, you may want to delete your CoW folder and try again. There may be a corrupted file or something.

Yep downloaded it all , and i deleted all folders before reinstalling and i get the same problem , i see tht it says that installation last 30min aprrox, well i install it in 6-7min , running dual core 2.8ghz

But all in all i did everything it says.

It's located in the "Medieval II Total War\logs" folder.

You do have Kingdoms patched to version 1.5, correct?

Also, do you have Medieval 2 gold or just regular Medieval 2

Another possibility is you may have installed it to the wrong directory.

Check you C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War there shouldn't be call_of_warhammer folder, and check C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods there should be only one Call_of_Warhammer folder.

I have an idea what happened, but the highlighted part above is the reason why I am not responding. Pirated versions of the game are not supported.

Yes it is always placed in mods folder , and yes it is the only warhammer folder !

Gona try to reinstall the whole game to see if thats gona help

Reinstalled installed all patches , and installed cow again same problem , dont know whats the prob if anyone have any idea post please
