You have all heard of this movie, an account of what happened on United Flight 93, the plane that crashed in Shanksville Pennsylvania.

It is as accurate as it can get. The records of what happened in the FAA, flight control and NORAD are very accurate and in some ways the most interesting part of the movie. However United 93's heart and soul is the last 30 minutes during the planning and executing of the civilians fighting back. This part is heart pounding. You will feel fear and sorrow at the same time. When the fighting on the plane begins I felt so happy as I watched the terrorist ****ers get beat into , bloody messes. The final scramble for control is amazing, not because it is in any way happy but because you will be there. You will be fighting for your life in the tiny, bloody cockpit of United Flight 93.

And I tell you now, my knees still shaking and still pumped full of adrenaline that EVERY American should see this movie. Even if you are some conspiracy theorist nutcase you should still watch this. Everybody, and I mean everybody will find something here.

I felt my patriotism grow as I watched, seemingly there, as true American heros fought those who would kill their countrymen.

The film is in grossly bad taste. It's far too soon, and as a form of entertainment, exhibiting a mass murder can only be portrayed on screen to inculclate pathos and horror (e.g. Schindler's List), not to give you a buzz at how exciting it was. I'm so glad you could feel your patriotism growing, though I should point out those murdered people were just trying to save their lives and get home to their families, not to put on a good show for your moral edification.

You haven't even seen it have you?

And it is definitaly not a movie you see for entertainment, I thought I made that clear. It is far to realistic to be entertaining, especially for people who lived through it.

That doesn't stop it from being good though

Cluny, have you seen the film or are you basing that on an assumption of what the movie is like?

All accounts I've heard is that the movie is apolitical and very realistic, not entertainment or patriot-mongering in the least. From those who've watched it, I've heard that it is entirely fair to the circumstances and the families rather than being normal hollywood emotional garbage.

I read that the director and producers asked permission from every one of the family members (I assume immediate family) to create the film, and that all of them agreed. Is five years really too soon? How long after World War 1 was All Quiet on the Western Front written?

I saw the movie last night, and it was very intense; very well-directed. At the end of the movie, no one walked out with a conversation, which is strange for California. Complete silence. Four or five people clapped, but I think the movie really affected a lot of the people in the theater.

Let's just say I'm glad I didn't bring my Turkish friend along, because he might have gotten some evil glares. This movie, if it didn't try to be unbiased, or even sympathetic, towards some of the hijackers (I was surprised that one of them was portrayed as being very human), it could have made many people very vengeful.

For the most part the movie sucked, the movie was Extreeemely low budget, horrible camera work, and the end where they kill the terrorists isn't even dramatic. The only part that made it worth seeing was the footage of the second plane hitting the world trace center

It was to my understanding that when they shot this film they tried to make it as undramatic as possible. They tried to portray it like the average person sitting in the plane would have seen it and tried to portray the people on the plane as an average US citizen that could be easily replaced with you.

So your review obviously lacks merit since you missed what they were trying to do.

It is the art of cinema not the heartless method of making bundles of money.

I havent seen the movie yet and I'm Canadian btw. I dont think the events of sept 11 should have been made into a movie, I find it kind of direspectful for those people for their lives and there traumatic moments to be made as entertainment.
